The only call I questioned was the KC was 3rd and 9, play went on and ended 4th and 4. Then they redid the play (which ended up working out for the Bengalls as Mahomes got sacked)
- Retinalz

The point would be how do you make or not make the calls at a crucial time for one time but then make the opposite decisions on calls in crucial moments for the other team?

What if Roughing the passer is called on KC and penalty plus a 1st down for Cin. Maybe you don't make the intentional grounding call that was pretty 50/50 call and they don't lose a down. Then some real potential holding calls missed late but call the roughing the passer the other way.

Cincy player touches him out of bounds, off setting penalties for a hold makes that kick 60 yarder....

My 1st round track record since the JB era began.

Ehlers (JV)
None (Boeser)
Tkachuk (D trade down for McAvoy)
EP (DCT convinced me)
Dobson(then Hughes fell to us)
Boldy (Pod)
No 1st
No 1st
Snuggerud (had trade down options)

2nd & beyond too embarrassing to show off my lack of studying. I had a few good picks but far outweighed by the crud.

No. I had no problem taking Matt. I said at the time if D when OJ was picked then I said I take Sergachev instead or trade down for McAvoy. OJ caught me off guard. I don’t play hindsight history like some like to play.

Bullshit.

What do you call this

First off Canucks aren't going to be able to take back 5.75M in salary for 1.7.

Second, you don't want 1 but 2 overpriced wingers to come back to further (frank) the Canucks cap space next season?

Third, Lavoie is probably equivalent to Bains in terms of quality. I can't say I've ever actually seen him listed or playing as a center. He was a winger in junior and in Sweden. Bakersfield has him listed as a center but AHL website has him listed as a right wing.

I would say value wise, Edmonton would have to add a 1st this year and a 2nd in another year to Lavoie, JP and Foegle for Schenn and Joshua.

- manvanfan

1) Salaries are pro-rated are they not? So at roughly 60% of the season gone, the Oilers players salaries would add up to about 2.3 mil combined. CF has the Canucks with 2.2 mil at the moment, so trading Schenn and Joshua would make that happen, I believe.
2) JP is RFA, and will make far less than the current 3mil he is at if he wants an NHL job. a 1.25m show me deal or if not, bye. Foegele is signed for next year then is an RFA. If he can turn it around, and be an asset at the next deadline then great, if not bye.
3) Lavoie is way more than Bains!...lol he is listed as C/RW and is playing quite well in the AHL. Big bodied player on the cheap at 22.
Add in their 1st this year, and I don't see it as that bad of a deal. Essentially for 1 year of Foegele at 2.75, you get a 24yr old JP role of the dice, a 22 year old C/RW, and a 1st rounder. If people are speculating that Schenn will garner a 2nd, how is this not bad?

Here is a really good forum, for those of you who like to express your different types of political and religious views.
Some fine person, spent time to set this up, specifically to not bog down a hockey site, with these divisive issues.

Glad we wouldn't go higher. Not a fan of paying based off career year. I know many will point to Miller, but he was over a PPG average since he joined the team, so he basically had 3 career years in a row with us. Still would have preferred to trade him, but it is what it is.

I would have still been pleased if we received a 5th round pick. Hopefully the country club is permanently dismantled now. Two little emos still left to deal with but great start!

There comes a point in your career as a pro athlete where you earn that UFA status and weigh where you want to be and why. Clearly, wanted out or he would have entertained an extension. and based on where this team is and run, I would have left as well. The Canucks couldn't afford to lose him for nothing, and that's why we are here.
Interestingly though, they were not willing to get even close to this point with Miller. Kind of says it all right there. Especially when the player that Bo is, points, age, and positionally, is exactly the type of player that the teams says they want and need.

They are pro rated yes but Van is also sitting at 20/23 contracts for that 2.2M. Canucks should also be trying to shed a lot of cap space to not have Kuzmenko bonus carry over.

Lavoie in the Edmonton system ranked 17. RW Raphael Lavoie

7th in Wheelers never played an NHL game or are an older developed prospect rankings that are dumb.

The captain being treated that way by signing JT first then Kuzmenko. Yeah, they chose others over him.

Who cares about the bonus carry over. Take on as much salary this season as possible for assets. They will 💯 be tanking next year again. Build for 2024/2025
