Actually in his last 8 games he has 2 goals and 4 assists. After having 1 goal and 0 assists in his first 11 games.

Not saying you are wrong as he started out pretty bad. But recently he has at least started getting checks in the scoring columns.

He was learning to play center on the fly in the NHL. Not an easy task. So he should get cut some slack. Clearly the coach sees something in him at center. Whether he turns out to be correct time will tell.

Had they not whiffed on 4 1st rd center picks maybe he wouldn't have been tried at center.

He is a sunk cost at this time. The coach is wisely putting him in a better positon. Him and Seller have been solid on the 3rd pair.

Best hope is he can be good in that 3rd pair role. Though still would like to see him on the point on the PP for an extended look.

Pretty much as I expected. No issue really. He has cooled off offensively. Plays too many minutes imo.
