Can you guys make some trades earlier in the season please. There just isn't enough time to generate chemistry at the deadline and you need a complete overhaul of your bottom 6. Foegle is one of the best skaters in the league and he is somehow completely ineffective. And Jesse.... Trade him while some GM's still think he is a potential star. Those 2 guys need to be flipped asap for guys who can actually move the puck and generate offense. They combine for 4 goals and 3 assists through 35 games. Very overrated and could fetch you guys actual contributors. One of the most exciting teams to watch in the league and 80% of this squad looks like fringe NHL'ers. Don't wait till the deadline!

Not trying to troll on gameday, but you will witness one team that lacks some high end talent wearing your boys down. If McD has another 4 point night, you will probably win. But your bottom 6 is going to get completely worked over tonight. It will definitely be a fun high scoring game packed with chances at both ends.

Troll all you like. The game in Edmonton was a 15 second brain cramp otherwise the Devils would have lost 3:1. Tonight the winning streak ends for the Devils. They will then go on a 5-game losing streak.

I was at that game and 15 seconds and one player's mistake does not mean they were the better team. Those type of situations occur in hockey all of the time. Sometimes it works in your favor and other times it doesn't. The better team in game did not win. The Devils will have their share of the same hockey-luck in the future also.

This didn’t age well.
Looks like the Devils might be for real. Plus they still have Nemec and Holtz waiting in the wings.

Eventually they’ll thrown in a clunker or get unlucky, yes. But to call what they're doing unsustainable isn’t entirely fair either. For the vast majority of this winning streak (except the win against Calgary), they've been the better team.

Personally, I hope they keep it up. Makes for a great story and is their game is very entertaining to watch.

I think the majority of the Devil fan base understands that we are playing unbelievable right now and it won’t last all season. I could see us going on a 5 game winless streak and not because we are going to stink up the joint but the bounces are going our way now and we could lose games that we should win also in a streak. Hey, we been poop for 10 years, we are just happy to be playing “ good and fun” hockey for once. Even the Devils playing at a high end level I still thought McD skated all around us. Thank god he has to take a break once in awhile! M just going to enjoy it while it lasts, good luck the rest of the season.

Honestly wasn't trying to troll. A simple eye test shows your bottom 6 producing absolutely nothing. The longer Jesse and Foegle are oilers, the more their value will drop. Trading them sooner than later will help your squad out greatly. The bottom 6 needs a drastic shakeup. Not an oilers fan, but I wouldn't complain if McD hoists that cup one of these years. He is the best in the world, 2nd isn't even close to him.

They can go a bit over .500 the rest of the season and still make the playoffs. Big enough lead now where it would be hard for them to miss the postseason.
