Twitter is blowing up....Zaitsev finally sent down to Belleville....and PD did so by keeping Larsson up with the big club, that's very telling! So Larsson gets to go on the road trip to Cali and Vegas.

Wild put Tyson Jost on waivers. Fans on Twitter are debating if PD should pick him up. Thoughts Sens fans?!

You gotta think something is up on the trade front in the next week with this move. Clearing more cap space.

If LTIR is like it use to be, you have to be at the cap max to get the entire salary space. LTIR only allows a team to spend over the cap max by that amount so if you are under it, you won't get the full value of cap space of that contract you put on LTIR.

At least this is how it use to work back when the Wings were putting Franzen and eventually Zetterberg on LTIR. That was the reason Holland would get the Wings as close to the cap max before the season so he could spend the most from those LTIR contracts. Might have changed since then though i'm not sure.

I’m actually ok with the top 9, but Big Kastelic has to get into this lineup over Gambrell or Kelly..
But we are the first into him about changing poop after a win so leave it alone I guess 🤷‍♂️
Even the Defense I’m Ok with and I’m glad to see Zeitsev sent down
I dont believe we need to make a trade ride the bus out with Zub back should give a boost
As for Jost last thing we need is a 3rd/4th line C lol

I like Pinto playing on the third line. I kind of wish that Stutzle were playing 2nd line centre. It is going to get a lot harder for him as he finds himself up against the top offensive or defensive centre every time he goes out for a shift.

I would like to see a rugged, physical Dman added. But my priority would be a centre to play with Debrincat.

Very interesting name .... didn't think about him

Looked like the next Zdeno Chara potentially when he first came into the NHL. I think he cannot be seen as a savior but rather an upgrade with Sanderson (over Hamonic). I think it depends on the ask price and what other D-men are obtainable.

Sidenote: I would be open to claiming Tyson Jost off waivers. High quality person and play, could be useful

Edit: price tag of Myers is way too high. Real $ too

I don't get scratching Kastelic, I must be missing something. I would be sitting Watson and Kelly before him. Gambrell has looked pretty decent - his speed and energy is noticeable - so glad he is back in.

I agree about signing Zub. His price is just going to keep going up the longer Dorion waits to get this done.

Folks predicted DeBrincat would struggle without Kane. Interesting to look at both of them after 16 games: Kane has 2 goals, 11 assists and 13 points. DeBrincat has 5 goals, 9 assists and 14 points.

Last few games DeBrincat has been stepping up.

Same justification was used prolifically by CHI fans to justify trading Panarin for Saad.

Here we go. 5 great grade A chances for the Sens and nada. One shot towards the net by NJ and right in it goes.

The Sens got their chances but couldn't cash. NJ didn't score every chance but they got a couple.

Interesting seeing Ek float Ghost's name in connection to Ottawa. I'd give Brannstrom straight up for Ghost.

There’s so much I disagree with this coach on.
Kastelic out. Parker Kelly in. — wrong
Slowest player on the team #16 is a consistent pk person — wrong.
Coach puts 4th line out ON purpose against opponents 1# line. He’s done it at least twice against NJ today — wrong

Tyler Myers is an overpaid softy
Ghost is an older slower whinier version of Klingberg. No thanks.

Can we count how many time Hamonic has screwed up today? He’s fallen twice. And the glove on the ice (when he was on the bench) may seem insignificant except the Sens had a 2-1 when it happened forcing a whistle.

The games I watched, I’ve seen Giroux setup Debrincat with literally point blank one times and he completely whiffs, what’s going on with him

Devils with a lot more speed.

Sens getting caught flat footed and losing almost every puck race.

Reading some guys saying this is about structure.

Structure has nothing to do with it. Guys are falling down as NJ skaters are blowing past them in waves.

Mostly agree Spatso
Seems every neutral zone battle that’s lost results in an odd man rush into the Sens zone
Like every time. Nobody is picking up their NJ right winger.

Somebody needs to get Stutzle a bigger stick, he cannot keep the puck on it, his stick handling is horrible lol, maybe he can spend next summer with Draisatl learning some things including how not to stickhandle yourself into trouble.

I've said it many times before. I like Watson. Maybe not on the PK but I like him. I sure as hell would be playing Kastelec rather than Gambrell whose name I can't remember hearing this game.

Giveaways are brutal this game. I obviously think Stutzle is a good player but when he bobbled the puck and then fell down he got up and cruised back into his zone but left the goal scorer wide open.

Oh yeah now I remember when I heard DeBrincat's name at least two times. It was when he was handing the puck over to NJ for no apparent reason.

Lots and lots of giveaways all over the ice and no battles for pucks at all. Smith said the team was going to need to be physical which is why I'm guessing he decided to play Gambrell instead of Kastelec. I guess he hasn't recognized that there are guys on the team who can't play a physical game so what's happening is that guys who really are fast just look like their stuck in quicksand.

Obviously Sanderson is not ready to play on the top pairing when facing a good team. Lots of mistakes. He'll be good eventually but not yet. They need Chabot. Needless to say Brannstrom and Hamonic don't belong in the top 4 ever.

It looks like he's trying to play the kind of game that gets played on the big European ice and you just can't do that. You can't keep circling back deep into your own zone rather than moving north. You don't have the time to fiddle around with the puck endlessly unless you're McDavid and Stutzle is not close to being that fast.
