Any trade with LA starts with Durzi. - Bullot
Any trade for Durzi starts with future considerations. Just agree to never even consider trading him back to LA in the future and he's yours. |

“You lost me at 'star calibre player' a perimeter player that is a 60 point player with an anomaly 80 point season is not a star player.“
Might be a stronger argument if you could just squeeze the word “player” in there one more time - AxlRose91
Attacking sentence structure is proof you don't have a counter argument. You agree that he is not only a perimeter but also a very average player who has already peaked.

Yeah, no thanks, give me a Bo Horvat to Buffalo with a long term extension in place rumor please? Matt Savoie + a pick for Bo Horvat. What's not to love? - lacaprup
That's funny and there is no chance that happens. Savoie isn't getting traded. Stop reading this crap. |

The Leafs should wait to trade Nylander as they are dealing from a position of weakness because they need a shakeup due to their slow start to the season. |

People were saying Panarin wanted to play in NYR? Like when Panarin himself said playing in NYR was always his dream, or was it his fiance who was all over social media counting down the days when he would be joining her in New York? Don't think we needed any insiders to break that story.
The rest of these rumours seem like nonsense. Like why would Arizona conclude after a few weeks into the season that adding a "star" talent was important? If that was important - FYI, it isn't, they are tanking - but if this was important, why give up valuable assets for Nylander when they could have simply signed some UFAs this summer. Or just keep tanking and then this summer throw huge dollars at Patrick Kane, or Larkin, or Patrnak, or Horvat or whoever makes it to UFA status.

Kings need defensive help to be honest with you much more than they need Nylander IMO. They are scoring more than enough but their problem is they are letting in more than enough too and on paper it looks like bad goaltending but the reality is it's bad defensive play. |

Trading Nylander is stupidity.
1. He's been one of the Leafs' best players so far this season
2. He keeps getting better every year
3. Who are you going to get in return that will make your team better? Maybe Chychrun....but there better be picks or a prospect coming with him,

Cut KomiSally some slack. He's not welcome in the Habs threads, the Leafs threads, or really anywhere else on the site. This is all he as.

When you went to journalism school, did you not take the course that taught you how to use an apostrophe? - Atomic Wedgie
No.
His job is to be a mirror. Apostrophe's show up backwards in a mirror. They end up looking like a misplaced accent grave. |

“You lost me at 'star calibre player' a perimeter player that is a 60 point player with an anomaly 80 point season is not a star player. He'd be lucky to hit 50 playing in a place like Arizona.
What is the going rate for a perimeter player who is terrified of going into the dirty areas?”
Spoke like a person that just reads/listens to what people say but doesn’t actually watch the games. Nylander lead the leafs in goals from the slot last season which I’m pretty sure is considered the “dirty area” that you state he doesn’t go near. - Hatt
Personally, I wouldn’t want any parent of Nylander. He has crazy talent, but lacks motivation in a town that goives nothing but motivation…In Arizona he could float for years.. |

Arizona has been operating on an internal budget for the last 10 years, now they play in a 5000 seat arena and will probably want to carry more LTIR salary insured contracts if it means their ownership can save money. |

Why not give credit where it's due? Trotz said he would like to coach an original 6 team on the Cam & Strick podcast. NYR is good with Gallant and all other teams have just hired new coaches. |

Hear ya. His dad was a good NHL player but he’s 50 now.
