Lol, dude again? I make ice in the rink all day every day.
THE FORMULA IS WARM WATER AND COLD ICE SURFACE. No compound, no additives.
WATER AND COLD.
Look in your freezer. WATER AND COLD. It (frank)ing ice. The recipe has been known since the beginning of time.

Blowing cap space on Risto and Deslauriers and saying no thanks to Gaudreau was a series of mistakes that will haunt this team long after Fletcher gets his inevitable pink slip.
With Ellis on LTIR for the rest of his career they could have easily afforded JG if they hadn't given long term deals to two bad players. And please don't tell me that in mid-July they didn't yet know that Ellis was done. He didn't tear his psoas muscle in August. |

Cody Glass makes the Preds out of camp. Kid's been on a line w/ Forsberg and Duchene.
Ryan Ellis is officially the most useless player out of that trade. |

Poile got his revenge for that Weber caper. Holmgren's offersheet made the price so high they had to trade Weber eventually. |

Bill Meltzer: Preseason Gameday: 10/4/2022 vs NYI - bmeltzer
So I saw the second episode of the Standard (is it called that?) and I have to say, the part where the front office is going over the roster etc. was kind of cringe.
I get that they are not going to give much away in terms of information, thoughts on players etc, but at one point the camera is rolling and they are all just sitting in silence looking at sheets of paper.
It was just kind of awkward. Briere looked like the kid who didn't study and didn't want to put his head up for fear of being called on.
I'll have to rewatch it, maybe I'm misrembering it. |

I'm amazed the front office agreed to have their incompetence recorded on video. |

I’m willing to bet if Johnny Hockey signed here for the money he did in Columbus with the roster we have even without Rostolainen and Deslauriers, Gaudreau would never meet the standards of his contract and Fletcher would see even heavier criticism for tying all that money up into a 29-30 year old. |

I thought it was interesting at batting practice that Konecny and Braun didn’t consider Sanheim a one timer guy, more the like a cradle guy. I’ve never thought of Sanheim that way but playing on the left side and not a lot of PP time (if any), this might speak to a lot. |

Haha, that kid has had a rough go. I’m not even sure what could have helped him. He had no business going back to junior and he seemed like an NHL player from the get go but just the constant weird injuries really prevented him from getting going. I thought he was going to be the perfect replacement for Simmer on the PP, had a few nice plays from that spot. |

Well, I know the talent Gaudreau played with on the Flames last season. I know how hard to please and predictable the guys are who post on this page. I know many were saying signing Gaudreau would be a bad idea as we should be shedding salary right up to the same day as free agency and then suddenly everyone changed their collective tunes. |

He always seemed a bit entitled coming out of junior. Like an NHL job was his birthright. I bet he just shrugged when they told him he made the team lol. And then they just handed him top-six minutes and a place on PP1.

Definitely could have used some more fight in his game, not actual fighting lol before someone jumps down my neck here |

You are so right.
They don't do anything special to the freezing aspect or mechanisms of outdoor rink games.
Thanks for the lesson in molecular biology, Im going to skate around in my walk in freezer after i pour some water in it.

You’re right, I played forward. Attard is 23 and he has never played D either. Yeah, send him down for 1-2 yrs. Vlasic and Brodin were playing 22+ minutes at 19. Flyers want to develop forever. Stop coddling players. Let them sink or swim. - Minnyhock
From a conceptual point, I don’t agree with this. In fact, particularly for defenseman, some training and seasoning can be essential. It just is not an easy position for all of them. However, our training and instructional approach leaves a lot to be desired. He may actually do better just being thrown in the deep end as you suggest. |
