Crazy that all the Leaf haters yapped about the Leafs not being able to ice a lineup with those 4 contracts. But even with no cap rising, the Leafs have managed a LOT of depth, at forward and D.

Guys like Sandin, Liljegren, Robertson, Abruzesessese, being able to step in, and being able to use Dermott as a trace piece has helped. Drafting has been fantastic.

Along with Dubas doing a phenomenal job finding good players in FA and other teams castaways. His trading has been great.

I dont mind TSN 1050 in the morning, I used to like it more with Landsberg which is weird to say. Fan 590 was awful for quite a while. I have to admit, Carlo has his bad moments, he isnt the sharpest tool in the shed.

i'm happy with the players we got. no doubt. But when Matthews got his contract, he got top dollar, which is fine, but 5 years is a fail when you're paying top dollar. Marner probably shouldn't have gotten the money he did, again, considering where he was as a player, at the time.

Nylander contract is a big win, but rather fair at time of signing vs his comparables at the time, not a steal.

I'm happy these guys are under contract, but none of these are team friendly, in the context of where the players were at when they signed.

nope, not really. Matthews and Marner have developed into players you would pay that money for (again, not full term for Matthews is a fail), and Nylander has BECOME a steal. I don't think Marner and Matthews were well done contracts. They're not disasters or anything, but really not a big success either.
