That debate can probably wait until the 3rd round, should both teams make it that far. Right now the debate is whether Markstrom can out-goalie Otter, and whether Kuemper can out-goalie Rittich. Kuemper can lay turds on the ice as well as Big Save Dave, but BSD has only half a game playoff experience. The last game between NAS and COL didn't go well. Markstrom vs a goalie without any playoff experience.

I would say that neither NAS nor DAL got the teams they wanted to play.

The last time Colorado played Dallas in the playoffs they injure both our starting goalies, our captain, and 5 other players, deciding the series. Trust this Avs fan: all our HFBoards/Reddit threads are !@#$ing delighted at what we woke up to yesterday morning.

That said, anything can happen in any playoff series. And I still have Dutchy’s rookie poster on my wall. Will be hoping fellow Colorado fans don’t boo him, in retrospect he did the franchise a solid and enabled Joe to make the trade he wanted but waiting a year and a half after the trade request.

Kuemper posted a .920 over 3+ seasons in Arizona. That is more impressive than any Markstrom stat anyone can show me.

So the playoffs start tomorrow and we're still on a day-old post about Nashville celebrating that they avoid Markstrom? OK.
