Never said they were. But there has been a drop in team effort/energy since the Motte departure very evident we miss his speed, tenicity and PK ability. Hamonic could go either way but we did get softer on D with Dermott. Decent player and all but just seeing it for what it is. As decent as Richardson and Dermott have looked they don't provide what we are missing with Motte/Hamonic gone IMO. - LordHumungous
I think you should watch Dermott a bit through an objective lens before saying we got softer with him. He's had 5 games and looked pretty good fundamentally. Hamonic barely played hockey for us. Motte needed to go, he didn't fit in to future plans. Looks pretty fringe on a decent Ranger team so far. |

Fair post. Regardless of Hamonic's skill he was a distraction and had to go. Dermott is okay so far. |

I forget what Poolman is like out there. But I think Dermott has been better / cheaper than him.
Benning adding Poolman for 2.5 and Richardensen for 2.6 and even garland with how he's been playing and that 5M doesn't look great....we simply need to get rid of Meyers contract since OEL is here for good IMO, at that CAP.
I'd look to move:
Poolman, Richardensen, Myers, Garlund and maybe boeser depending how contract / trades look.

I agree. I support the Hamonic trade but as far as the locker room cancer narrative goes, it hasn't translated in better results on the ice at all. His physical play is missed.

Like Reubenkincade has said many times, the whole makeup of the team is horrible, they’re lazy, they’re entitled bumholes, their two-way game is bad, Miller being one of the biggest culprits before he was called out by Boudreau, they’re slow, they’re not big or physical enough….and they rely on stellar goaltending way too much. - LeftCoaster
Fixed that for you, big fella.👍 |

What a town this is. An 86 year old man in 100 Mile house just had his sentence suspended for bank robbery. After an argument at home he went to the bank with a 22 rifle and demanded cash. Receiving the cash he then leaves the rifle on the counter and drove to Tim Hortons for a coffee and a donut where he was arrested.

#Canucks have a decent lead among all NHL teams by 5-on-5 sv% (.931, 2nd place is at .929).
If that holds and Vancouver misses the playoffs, they'd become the first NHL team to miss in a season with the best EV sv% since 2010. |
