Well, that went about as bad as it could have. Oilers win (in OT, LA gets a point), Jets win, Vegas winning, Canucks lose in regulation.

But still only 4 points back of Dallas for the 8th spot.👍

Edit; make that 5 points back.

True, you're too busy focusing on the refs constantly fucking over the Canucks.

True dat. Refreshing hearing someone else mention the Refs bad performances.

Not sure if he has mentioned what you just pointed out. Refs are just horrible in general. I just worry about how it effects us. I'll let the fans of other teams worry about how it effects them.

Blues are bigger & faster & no answer for their pressure.

Not two seasons ago. Bo was too big, too fast and no answer for his pressure.

Super soft Dermott with 4 hits tonight, 2nd on the team and 4th most minutes( no special teams time) by defensemen.
Looked decent enough in the 1.5 periods I watched.

I am all for that, but a good start would be to play him less.

Some like to complain about ref's, some complain about politics, some about draft picks, some about golf, some about the price of gas, I like to complain about Hughes and sometimes Pouty.
I don't have to like a player(s), just because most others do, or because they play for the Canucks.

Hughes isn’t the problem & we’d worse off without him. Pouty has found his game. Problem is how the roster is built. I start with the D just isn’t dynamic enough.

As a team they’ve been below average in terms of speed and physicality for many years now.

It’s time to blow it up(doesn’t have to be a rebuild but a big roster shakeup).

In before some homer compares this core to COL/FLA again

Dynamic in which way, like Calgary, Florida, Boston, St Louis, , Carolina, or moreso like New Jersey, Anaheim, Arizona, San Jose?

Definitely on the same page. There are signs of skill, heart, determination, but just not enough of it. This team is capable of long stretches of good play but not for a whole season and into the playoffs.

The motivation really fell off after the TDL. Maybe they were hoping for more help. Maybe some were hoping to sell themselves for a trade. Losing the energy line certainly shows it's effect. It effects different aspects of the teams play like possession, forecheck which results in the D being freed up from lingering back or stepping up out of the neutral zone. Physical play is missed as well... coaching has to use the their players differently. Maybe maybe...

Oh well. If Benning didn't resign Green, this team probably sits 3rd in the division. Early team support for Demko would have assured it. Still wouldn't be a contender though. Roster needs a lot of work for that.

I dont harp on refs often, i did however think the avs game was poorly officiated. Rough game tonight, Blues had more chances and cant really blame it on the refs imo

Not tonight or that last few games. I havent complained about the refs since about 4 games ago and that was a 4 game stretch I think was brutal. My frustration snowballs when it's like that but it doesnt always mean I'm blaming a loss on it. I make the same complaints in wins. Plus the zebra slurpers need some attention once in a while.

More scoring & mobility jumping into the play. Top 2/3D ideally. Either side idc.

The refs are horrible in general. It probably evens out, but it's ugly to watch. They should have 12 refs out there like the CFL cuz they're just as bad. Then they can have a huddle every time they make a call.
