"Their epic start, that may never be repeated in ANY league, was led Marc Andre Fleury and Gerrard Gallant." yeah but it was just a repeat of what Baltimore did in their first CFL season. Baltimore followed up with a Grey Cup the following year (and a move to Montreal that offseason). So Vegas fell short. They never managed to get that Cup and now they're maxed out and missing the playoffs. We all know what follows when you max out and miss the playoffs. It might have taken them a few years to get there, but Vegas is going to end up looking like an expansion team afterall.

Was chasing after Eichel really worth it? Give it time he’ll be complaining soon.

How DARE you leave B. Marchand off that important list!

- Nasty_Duck

Oh sorry. Forgot Marchand. Also forgot MAF, the most clutch playoff goalie ever traded at the deadline. When Minnesota loses in round 1 then MAF will become the single biggest UFA target this summer, you know, because he's so good in the playoffs.

F Vegas.... Let's see how Vegas "fans" react to a few seasons of missing the playoffs...

Exactly! Makes me so happy to see LV struggle!

McCrimmon is not much better than the way Florida treated Gallant and hopefully there are many more mistakes for LV!

Viva FU Vegas!

Sorry but Stone is NOT a top 10 player in the NHL
Neither is Eichel right now

Did you see my previous list. I came up with 15-20 players without even thinking of Mark Stone. If I actually spent more than 2 minutes I'm sure I could easily come up with 15-20 more. He's also about to turn 30, with a lot of mileage, and a number of injuries. Very good player. But top 10 is so far from reality.

They got gifted a very good team under unbelievably favorable circumstances in a once in forever expansion draft and rode that to the Finals.

Now cracks are showing and people are running.

What a shock

The article states what a lot of us are thinking. Regardless. You have to question a lot of their people moves since the epic results of the expansion draft. What was once a feel good story, now couldn’t be further from it. Now for those of us who root for different teams, we just want to see Vegas go down.

Middleton was the best player acquired by the Wild at the deadline. Kinda like Goodrow with less skill. Physical, played top pair in SJ, killed penalties on the 3rd best PK and has a great word ethic. I’m not high on MAF but maybe he can push Talbot. Premium goalies like Korpisalo and Khudobin would have probably cost multiple 1st rounders.

Not kind seeing Vegas miss the playoffs at all just for the way they treated Fleury.

Which part?

The part about the coach deciding to trade MAF, when GMs do that?

Or how Dadanov was the ONLY guy who has stepped up recently? FYI, he has 6 points in his last 23 games, including 14 in a row without a single point. A guy like Marchessault has 18 points over that same time.

Or how Tampa is the only other team in the NHL who could make the playoffs missing a guy like Mark Stone. Hmm, Pittsburgh is 5th overall in the NHL despite missing Malkin for most of the year, not to mention lengthy injuries to Rust, even Crosby missed 12 games. But they aren't top 10 like Stone.

Hits like a Mack truck? Ya, we got that too.

Say hello to Arber Xhekaj, he's probably only a year or 2 away, you're not going to be too fond of him

Romanov, Guhle, Mailloux, Barron, Harris, Struble, Xhekaj, Norlinder --- all these stallions will be just breaking into the league as queefews is jet-setting to Scottsdale

MAF is NOT going to win a Cup for any team Case Closed His best chances were in Pitts and he blew them Could have been the main guy to win multiple CUps on his own and got just one by himself Murray led the Pens to the other two
Then had a great chance in Vegas and crapped the bed again against Montreal
That is why they got rid of him NICE GUY but a head case Needs a sports shrink

If the trade is voided, Vegas can still technically trade him after the deadline, the players involved would not be eligible to play in the playoffs. Good luck finding any takers.....

By the time the playoffs are over, Kelly McCrimmon will be waiting tables at a second class casino on the strip!! When he is not waiting tables he will be in the play of "The Wizzard of Oz" as the Scare Crow (you know the one who sings "IF I ONLY HAD A BRAIN"! I think the players at the end of the season will be standing in line with their trade requests to escape Vegas ASAP and wave their NMC's to hurry their exit.
