Yes he was, I have been all over Mitts for awhile, but this is his preseason right now. Get him healthy and go from there.

In fairness, Eichel signed a deal with a memorabilia company that allowed it to be the sole distributor of his name and likeness outside official team gear. I forgot the name of it. I would assume that company paid him a lot of money for that, so I would imagine he was getting pressure from said company to do that.

Side note: I really do appreciate John Buccigross's enthusiasm for the game of hockey, but I just don't like him as a play-by-play guy. I think ESPN should switch him out with Steve Levy and have him do the studio work.
