There's a reason Sabre fans still, still, will give a pass to Evander Kane of all people. For me, it's because it was obvious to me EVK gave 100% and cared about being a Sabre. Obvious to me. Maybe that's dumb and unexplainable, but i think it's very easy to tell when someone doesn't like you. Jack hated us from day 1.

that was a playoff atmosphere game, and I don't think there was one more intense than that since 2011. That place has definitely been louder though, but more intense? I don't think so.

The last time the place was that intense was when the Bruins came to town after the Lucic/Miller thing. Fans wanted blood and you could feel it. Was a pressure cooker feeling. When Goose lined up, ready to get his clock clea... I mean, fight Lu, even everyone up in the press box stood (I was writing for Sabre Noise then).

Never more intense in the drought era.

I will say during the 10 game win streak, the Flyers game (game 4 or 5 of the streak) had a 4 goal first period and a huge fight. It rocked for 25-minutes straight . Last night the barn was rocking from warmups until the Craig Anderson tribute after the 3 stars.

In fairness, Eichel signed a deal with a memorabilia company that allowed it to be the sole distributor of his name and likeness outside official team gear. I forgot the name of it. I would assume that company paid him a lot of money for that, so I would imagine he was getting pressure from said company to do that.
