Many of us didn't blame him for wanting out because of the (expletive) owners. I don't blame him for wanting the surgery.
That said pretty rich coming from a fan of your organization. Lots of class there. And don't worry, you guys are already starting your descent into empty arenas. We filled the barn to watch Eichel even when the team was crap.

In all seriousness, it's important to remember that what the Sabres have "accomplished" (i.e. missing the playoffs for 11 years straight) is completely unprecedented in NHL history.

Fans are still seething. They also don't want to give the Pegulas a dime unless they can take their rage out on a different target.
