The Sens can't even seem to run a practice without losing a player to injury. All four centers and your two top RWs. Wow! There's a bit of bad luck; but you know what they say about clouds and silver linings. We'll see. |

Another player that has seized the extra ice time is Adam who now has 7pts in 9 games in a Sens uniform. |

So very true on the sliver lining. I only got to watch a period of the game, but like you said this team is so thin right now. I wonder if Forsberg gets the start tomorrow but then again the All-Star break is coming fast too. I hope your Sens get healthy fast.

Definitely agree re: Gaudette. I watched him play with the Canucks for a fair while, and he seems to be playing with a lot more purpose, after having been bumped around between teams. He's also got enough skill and pace to his game to play up and down the lineup, which is definitely a bonus with so many injuries piling up. This is also clearly an opportunity for Tierney to showcase himself, and maybe garner some trade deadline attention. In theory, a 3rd line C with 500GP, 30-40pts upside, and proven decent 2-way ability should be worth a ~2nd/3rd round pick, depending on what the deadline market is for natural C.

Guadette > Tierney. And cheaper.
Tierney night get u a 4th. In fact, other than Nick Paul or Forsberg, I don't think anyone that the Sens would get rid of at the deadline will get them higher than a 4th.
Sens showed a lot last night. Really like what Timmy Stu is showing at C. They pushed back against a good team. Murray looked steady. And, in the end, didn't get the extra point to hurt their draft odds.

Houser is out? Why don't you guys offer us your 2nd or 3rd round pick this year for Anton Forsberg?

Per David Pagnotta who covers Minnesota, the Wild are in on Tierney! Plus PD and PM were at the Wild game on Monday night.
I agree, with Tim Stutzle, almost 24 min. of icetime, he was terrific, and has been more consistent at center than Josh Norris over the last 10 games too!

I was told Chicago put RW Connolly on waivers the other day in hopes that Ottawa might've claimed due to how thin the Sens are on the right side.
Sens are looking at Gabe Vilardi too, he has 20pts. in 20 games down in the AHL. |

When this team is healthy, I wonder when they move Sanford and Forsberg, early March or closer to the March 21st trade deadline. Tierney will be moved for sure too.

I hope the Wild offer that for Tierney!! Or a solid prospect?! I think Nick Paul resigns, he made it very clear on Monday at his presser that he wants to stay here.

Yeah just went on covid protocol, sounding like Anderson made it through practice today so he might come of IR. Don't really know what they are gonna do. Can't believe we are up to almost 300 man games lost to injury already this year. |

I thought we had it bad, you guys clearly have it worse. We love Andy here, so I hope he gets those 5 wins to get to 300 career alltime!

I get the feeling Mark Kastelic will play his first NHL game tomorrow as it looks like Norris won't be able to play. |

Hindsight is 20/20, but the Sabres could have put a claim on Murray. Buffalo and Murrays seem to attract one another... |

What does Belleville look like with all these call-ups Kev? Have they signed any minor league deals to fill gaps? |

They are lucky as they only play tonight and off til later next week. So with the NHL Allstar break next week they will be able to get Thomson, Sokolov and Kastelic back. So I think it's status quo for the BSens tonight. But good question. I will check the AHL wire now.

I'm actually surprised no Sens fans commented on Eugene Melnyk going on record to threaten the province!
Melnyk, 62, attended Tuesday’s Senators-Buffalo Sabres game at the empty Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa and then voiced his displeasure to reporters.
“It’s sad. I don’t know who the people are that come up with these rules,” said Melnyk. “They’re misinformed and they’re miscalculated. They should be challenged, and they will be challenged.” |

The last BSens transaction was a few days ago.
MITCHELL HOELSCHER recalled from ECHL Atlanta who is a center. Probably to replace Kastelic.

Anderson practiced today, so I think they are hoping he can come of IR or maybe Tokarski as they both traveled with the team. If they can't then ECHL goalie Mat Robson or a guy they signed to a PTO from Canisius College Williams I believe is his name. |
