The puck was on Suzuki’s stick when Marchand hit him. I know this is a trash site but come on. John Moore was knocked out on a late dirty hit from behind. Maybe mention that or the dirty headbutt. Enjoy losing every game. |

Pitlick showed some flashes in Minny but got beat out from some of the guys up from the AHL. Local writers say he couldn’t or wouldn’t adjust to a bottom 6 role.

guy was waived twice by 2 different teams in 3 months, what could go wrong?
and btw, he won't have a choice, in Mtl that's all we have a bottom 6. |

Yeah, pretty dumb of the Wild to pick him up and pay him just to waive him.

If he wants a chance to stay in the NHL, he needs to get his mind right quick.

so Wideman might not be going to the all-star game after all... it's sorta ridiculous, lots of teams could be sending 2 players instead, not sure why the league absolutely wants every team represented when clearly no one should be going from that roster (not that the all-star game is a big deal or whatever). |

they should send Youpi, and that's it. not a single player deserve to go imo. |

yup, I'd rather see Youppi in a mud-wrestling challenge against Gritty, would be less pathetic then sending Kulak or whatever. |

Wideman is gonna be the habs player? That’s so sad if that’s the case. It amazes me that the all star game is still a go given all the postponed games |

I think it wasn't official yet for Wideman but it was being discussed... and yeah I agree they could simply skip the event, perhaps it represents a considerable source of revenue for the league, I'm not aware of the numbers. |

Another example a a nobody who got waived and not picked-up…
Who knows how this will end up but the risk we are taking taking him off waivers is 0 so…
« He wasn't good enough for the Minnesota Wild or the Columbus Blue Jackets either; neither newcomer selected him in the expansion draft. In turn, the Flames, because they didn't believe enough in St. Louis, bought him out for $175,000, one-third of the contract's value.
St. Louis had to pass through waivers before the buyout was official. He did and become an unrestricted free agent.
"Nobody was clamoring for him," Button said.
Dudley soon started talking to St. Louis' agent, Lewis Gross, about a contract. Dudley remembered watching St. Louis play at the University of Vermont and for Cleveland in the International Hockey League. » |

My understanding is that Pitlick will have to stay on the Habs roster unless/ until waived again. Pitlick has speed and skill. He has offensive upside but the Wild didn’t trust him on the defensive side. He will be a UFA after the season.

Let’s say that we don’t have much offensive upside on that team and at the deadline if some players get traded, Pitlick may have an opportunity on second line….
Who knows the outcome of that move???
