unfortunately the pandemic has shown the greatest flaw in a public run health system. despite it being the recipient of the most tax dollars, it only collects enough money for when times are good, so they are not wasting public money (people would flip out if they found out healthcare was running at a surplus). However, when a once in a century pandemic hits, the public founding is not enough to increase the spending needed to keep up.

actually there has been recent data showing that the curfews did have a positive impact on the virus spread (as much as I hate to admit it lol).

also Legeault would look pretty (frank)ing dumb to blame that on Arruda since he was clearly in favor of that measure every time it was announced.

there are definitely no perfect health systems, not that I know of at least, but I still much prefer how we handle things here than in the US for example.

i agree (100%, actually). however, when you rely on funds based on the best of times then you better hope their are no bad times because it gives us a curfew and nobody wants that.
