Beau guesses wrong in the o-zone which springs the rush, then takes too long getting back.
It's Barry's world, but starting both Beau and Pageau who have each been struggling mightily was tough sledding.
Definitely feel for Sorokin, who was once again the best player in the ice - keaner17
He has been all season. .943 save percentage in a loss. What more can the guy do? He needs support. |

I don't get why both Aho and Hutton are playing ahead of Salo. - keaner17
7 said something about having to pass through waivers whereas Salo does not. That’s the only thing that makes sense to me. |

As it stands, the Isles are not a real talented team. Remove guys like Pulock and Pelech and the team has a hard time trading punches. Not that I expect them to be Gretzky and Orr, but it would seem guys like Golyshev and Salo should be getting a shot during this stretch. We've now scored 9 goals in our last 9 games. It's too early to get a good value trade, so guys like Palmieri, Parise, Pageau and Beau need to start producing. |

This team is cooked and they can even sell assets at the deadline. Only good news is they have a ton of cap space and Chara greene and Parise will be gone. Perhaps they will get a top 5 pick |

Chemistry is such a delicate thing. The most recent tweaks and maneuvers appear to have shifted us from a defensive team with enough speed to create transition, to a slow team always in chase mode |

I agree seemed like a pointless shot to take if that was trying to create a rebound it was ill advised. Good way to give up possession 3 on 3 and have it go back the other way on you. When he did it I was just like why? |

Aho has done nothing with this opportunity. I’m sure the ask is more of him right now of course but he certainly hasn’t risen to the occasion. |

Yeah, they are normally so posession conscious in OT, both Beau and JGP got strangely aggressive amd sloppy. Then Beau guessed wrong as JGP battled along the boards, going deeper into the zone. Just not smart.

I wouldn’t worry about losing him on waivers. He’s not proven himself to be a top six player. I’d rather they give Salo the minutes. |

I think he has looked better in the past the little we’ve seen of him before. This time around not so much. |

When he threw(lobbed) that on net I knew it was going back the other way. It was just a dumb play to make. |

No, I just don’t see him as an NHLer. Nit on this team at least. |

It was a terrible play he should have regrouped in the neutral zone and maintained possesion |

GROSS: "Trotz on factors playing Hutton over Salo: Hutton a righty while Salo a lefty, giving three L-R pairs.
Hutton's game has been more consistent than Salo's, per Trotz. "Robin's game has slipped some from his first to his last game."
So Salo is the new Wahlstrom. Problem here is, that even a slipping Salo is better than Aho or Hutton. So you're cutting off your nose to spite your face here. |

Yeah I don’t get it we lack puck moving defenseman. Salo moves the puck forward better then anyone we have right now. Don’t play him. I can get it if he was coughing up the puck and loose in our zone(like aho and Hutton). |

To meet my quota, I'll say Bailey still sucks. We had a three on two late in the third, when Bailey received the pass at the blueline and promptly put the puck on a Shark dman's stick. I said to my daughter: "See, Josh is fully recoverd from the vid" |

With our luck this year we’ll probably lose three spots in the draft and pick the only bust in the top 5. |

It was the end of a long shift so I’ll cut him a little slack but it was none the less bad. |
