Wow. Finally? Were they waiting for the entire team to get it? Greatest part: season is probably over. Thanks NHL.

Yes..it's the NHLs fault NYI has sucked. SJ had a ton of players with Covid..no games postponed. Ott . Had to play a few games as well before league postponed theirs. I'm sure almost every team will have to deal with Covid at one time or another this year.

Five of their top six dmen and three of their top six forwards...yeah, inexcusible that they couldn't string together a streak here.

Sidenote: it will be fascinating to see if anyone from the Flames, Leafs, Rangers or Pens end up in protocol as a result....

With 65 games left is it possible to win 38? This is reachable.

88 points will not get them in the playoffs(especially in this division)unless you’re factoring in assumed loser points?

I expect the islanders to get it together but dropping to 5-10 in this division is quite a hole. NHL should have postponed before the Ranger game IMO

Long shot but let’s see if C-19 hits the Eastern Division?

Was it the leagues fault for not cancelling the past 4 games? Or was Ownership afraid to miss out on opening the building?

Has this spiral cost the Isles a shot at the playoffs? We will not know for sometime.

Lets just hope that some of the guys can get healthy and the team can back on track. These extra few days will give the coaching staff a chance to evaluate this mess.

As for the comment from RRent...Whatever, when people come in with noncoherent statements, all I hear is blah blah blah.

Here is to getting healthy and righting the ship.

Im sure after Ottawa and our situation they’ll change whatever ridiculous protocols they have. It will be a much smaller number of infected personnel needed to postpone games. Not fair in any way, shape, or form but you can bet your arse that’s exactly what will happen.

Tough situation and definitely not handled properly by the league. If in fact the Islanders asked the league to not cancel the games because of UBS”s debut and the league agreed it’s even worse. I hope this isn’t the case. As Keener said, it will be very interesting to see if the disease spreads to the teams the Islanders have played recently. I’m sure the league will pull the trigger and cancel games faster which is unfortunate for the Islanders, SJ and Sens. It really hit the islanders hard with the players that were out for sure on top of the Pulock and Nelson injuries. Hopefully as you said they can get healthy, get on a run and right the ship.

It would be crazy if the Isles did that. I agree 100%. However, crazier things have happened and the truth comes out years later. Either way the team needs to get healthy and back on track.

Yes. Like most of your posts. I have to give it to you though. At least your first post was barely legible which is more then I can say for most of them. Also, pretty big of you to start trolling around this thread now. Like I said in an earlier post where were you for the past two years when your team was sucking wind? You show up now to flex your muscles when half of our lineup is out? It’s a long season and if things shift around a bit remember this day when your thread is complaining about “Islander trolls” flooding their thread they’ll have no one to blame but you.

And crazier if the league obliged.
Let’s hope they get healthy soon and play well. Gonna be tough to make the PO’s but with this team as we’ve seen in the past. They just need to get in.
