All kidding aside it wasn’t a bad game (as compared to what we’ve seen) who knows maybe it’s something they can build on. Just have to find some semblance of offense. |

I'm not pulling the plug on the season yet, but I am concerned that Lou and Barry guessed wrong on a couple of their gambles coming into this year. Eberle has 11 goals now. No one has stepped into his role and we'renow back to Josh Bailey on the top line.. We had to dump Leddy's contract but we didnt fill his role.
I had thought that Salo played well enough to start earning regular starts and maybe ease the pressure on Chara and Green, but apparently that isn't Barry's take at this point.
I'll keep the faith that Lou will do the right thing, but our outlook is getting worse fast.
We aren't going to tank either, so you can give up that dream. That approach isn't in Barry's dna |

The calls to fire trotz and Lameriello on social media today are hysterical. I know the team was underperforming pre covid protocols and the injuries but to not take into consideration the ridiculous road trip and this teams history of starting slow to me is insane. I fully expected them to get their act together when they got back home being four points out from the last playoff spot at the time.
Sure, I could’ve been wrong in that assumption maybe they wouldn’t have but to think a large(very large it seems) contingent of the fan base wants to toss out the two guys(along with ownership of course) that turned this franchise around with two consecutive conference finals appearances is beyond me. Can’t wrap my head around it. |

Yeah, they are normally so posession conscious in OT, both Beau and JGP got strangely aggressive amd sloppy. Then Beau guessed wrong as JGP battled along the boards, going deeper into the zone. Just not smart. - keaner17
It definitely was not a smart play. As soon as he went low I was yelling at my TV. They had 2 guys high, why would you go low automatically leaving a 2 on 1. The he had a chance to break that play up but stopped skating and coasted into the play. If he had followed Karlsson and kept skating, he could have easily broken it up and went back the other way. It's just little things that are killing this team right now. Bad, sloppy, lazy turnovers in the D-zone, slow transitions through the neutral zone and losing board battles in the O-zone. They occasionally get some sustained attack time but since nobody moves, there aren't a whole lot of quality chances. |

That's insane that people want Trotz & Lou gone. I guess their thought is "what have you done for me lately". Like you said, they forgot about the back-to-back CF's. First of all, this team will be fine. May not make the playoffs this year, but, oh well. Second, who the hell are you going to get to replace not only one, but both with the same caliber and pedigree? Nobody! There's nobody out there that's this good. Stupid! |

You know what, maybe it was a swing and a miss. Sometimes that happens. Actually, I think it happens more often than not. I think San Jose is a great example of that. Look at how many great players that organization has had, and it's led to zero cups. Toronto is another great example. So much talent but zero results. So Lou took a swing at a couple guys he trusts and it isn't panning out. Personally, I think once they get that first win they'll go on a bit of a tear. They're not playing horrible hockey and they're staying in games. It's just dumb little mistakes that kill them. Particularly turnovers. Just my opinion. |

This is exactly what I think when I see this garbage. How soon everyone forgets Wangs propensity to pick the worst possible candidate for any position within the organization. I’m not saying Ledecky or malkin are Wang but wanting to spin that wheel and hoping it lands on someone that’s even close to trotz or Lou due to our current situation is so mind numbingly stupid. |

I couldn't agree more. When Snowtard was GM, I would think "get rid of him and bring in an unpotty-trained labradoodle. The result will be almost the same." |

In all of my years of being a hockey fan I never disliked someone more then Snow. From the onset the guy was arrogant and to me it was obviously due to his incompetence and insecurities. It was unbelievably transparent to me. |

And…he wasn’t half as arrogant as the guy before him which is saying something. Especially for guys who were middling players and had accomplished next to nothing as GMs. Anyone calling for the heads of Trotz or Lou is a (frank)ing idiot who would deserve the decade of misery that would be sure to follow. |

It's mostly newbie fans that "jumped on the bandwagon" in the last few years that are calling for their firings. |

I agree with most of your post. However, I disagree a little with the bold in the sense that they were pretty horrible last night, but Sorokin kept them in the game. I think Sorokin's good play this season has masked some of the team's issues, which have already been discussed in yours and previous posts.
I was at the game last night, and probably the funniest moment was when the clock ran out in regulation and the crowd cheered that the Islanders were finally getting a point. |

I guess I could have phrased it a little better. What I meant is that for the most part they aren't playing VERY horribly. They're not playing very good but at least they're staying in games and giving themselves a shot at winning one. Of course they've been shooting themselves in the foot with bad D-zone turnovers and not scoring.
I noticed the cheering after regulation and thought it was pretty funny too. |

Fire them all, bring back Milbury and sell the team to John Spano. That'll fix everything. |

Yup, there were stretches where they were decent and created some chances, but it seemed like the Sharks were doing a good job of tying up their sticks, and they (as usual this season) couldn't bury their chances........heck, sometimes they couldn't even get a shot off.
Overall, the Sharks had more o-zone time, had more shots and better chances IMO, but Sorokin was on his game last night. |

Who in the Nashville organization thought "Hey, that looks pretty snazzy" and gave it the green light. - Isleshockeyman
Possibly the worst jerseys ever made in the history of the NHL
They basically took Florida's jerseys, changed the color scheme, and then found someone high as balls on meth to design the crest |
