Kreider is having a monster start! Thankfully Lindgren wasn't hurt on that hit to the head. If Miller and Z could ever get going..anyway, on to Fri..Happy TG! |

It's still on to see us have this hot of a start. I feel like the last few years we made the playoffs it was squeaking in. Even when we were a top team I feel our starts were always slow.
I think KKs quote about playing for gallant speaks volumes to why you're seeing his rise. Laf will get better as well. The biggest problem is there's no real room for him. With breadman and CK20 as 1 and 2, Laf is essentially wasted on the 3rd unless we go three scoring lines. Need to figure out how to get him in the top 6 and let him mature |

Have to assume Laf gets a shot in the top 6 in place of Hunt at some point. Although the current lines likely create the most balance. At least by keeping Laf on the 3rd, Chytil gets to play with a skilled player that will potentially be his line mate in the top 6 one day. That line has been pretty good but do need to get Laf more opportunities to breakout. Goodrow on the 4th line makes that an elite shutdown/momentum changing line. Hope they stay together. |

Understood but what a nice “problem” to have. Chytil is showing flashes of brilliance as Laf’s center and these two can develop into a formidable tandem. Laf only has what, 76 NHL games until his belt with both of their developments having been hampered by the Covid crisis and Chytil’s by injury and having Covid. I thought it was going to take 20 games for the team to start to play well with a new system and coach. I was wrong. Not exactly playing well earlier, but good enough and talented enough to win. You can see the swagger now. Surprised by how effective Reaves is. The guy can play and what a dish to Rooney last night. First 2 point game in over a 700 game career and you can see the chemistry and how much these guys play for each other. So sorry Blais is gone for the season. Out in Indiana for Thanksgiving with my son, his wife and the three grandkids. Managed to watch most of the game on msg go with my IPAD while playing some board games with the fam. The boys, 8 and 10 play hockey for the Indianapolis Sharks pee wee traveling team and are growing up Rangers fans. Being raised right! At 73 years of age now it looks like I might get another chance to see them raise a Cup before I take a dirt nap. Been rooting for them since the mid ‘50s and been a season ticket holder for more than 20 years. My brother and I were in section 404 before the rebuild and now reside in section 225.

Happy thanksgiving to all! Thank god we won that game! It should have been canceled no doubt but take the two points and run!Larry brooks had an interesting article this morning saying firing jd and gorton was decided BEFORE the Wilson incident and was done because of the way the islanders slapped us around last year. Whatever the reason it’s good to see them come out and win games they should win.definitely excited for this team and glad that nobody in the isles thread can come in here and rub it in if they would have won! |

The Islanders are a very physical and "heavy" team. It was good to see the Rangers match them last night in that style of play. I don't know what the final hit stats were, but to the eye, it looked pretty even to me.
Safe travels to all for the Holiday! |
