Not a big fan of shifting the lines and breaking up Schwartz and Eberle. They have clicked real well and coming off a hattrick?
Still this is the Yotes and we should not have much trouble tonight with them at all. I don't think they will take the foot off the gas. They can struggle with offence at times like with Buffalo, all over them but couldn't beat Tokarski but eventually it catches up. They have played some dominant hockey from Rangers game on here really and I do not think the Yotes are suddenly going to be any better than they have been so far this season.
Only thing that is a bit of a worry is Gru not facing enough shots like Buffalo where he lets in the softy like last game. |

Shwartz - Wennberg - Eberle is intact. Kraken Pregame lineup here. Basically same lineup as last game but Soucy is in tonight too. |

And Gourde makes it 2-0
Two goals less than a minute new team mark and record there!
And goalie change! Wedgewood coming in already |
Oh bloody hell... Rousell scores on a 2 on 0 there?!
Dunn losing his stick and that lead to breakdown and they hand one right back. Really guys?!?! Ugly, that was just ugly. |
Bastian!!! His 1st as a Kraken!
3-1 as they get a nice one on Wedgewood to get back up by two! |

Well here we go. 2nd Period underway 4 on 4. Lets see how it plays out and goes |

Had a good night with ESPN+ got to see Buffalo and Pittsburgh decide they didn’t want to win their games tonight and Arizona’s goalie got pulled less then a min In that game. |

Unnnghhhh cannot be giving up lousy weak goals and letting the Yotes hang in this game! Two bad ones so far tonight.
Not liking how they are not controlling their own end here tonight more than they are. Need to limit chances more here. |

That was just an absolute epic start to the game but then they gave one back. Got a late one and now hand one back early in the 2nd too. Frustrating right now with how they are playing. |

I wouldn’t be surprised if this game be the 3rd choke game I have seen tonight after Buffalo vs Detroit and Pittsburgh vs Minnesota. |

Hoping not but Seattle is giving up a lot more shots than they have the past games that is for sure and that isn't necessarily a good thing.
Course also lost Donato too it seems |
Damn the powerplay SUCKS! And off the kill the Yotes are really pushing too. Not what you want to see at all. Course at the end there a chance two on one and Gourde couldnt really get it to go.
Not the best of periods here and not the best of games given how the Kraken have played the past few. |
Crouse ties it. Gotta be kidding me |
Gotta be kidding me. Kessel makes it 4-3????? Seriously how can we be losing to the Yotes>!?!?!?! |
GIO!!!!!! YES!!!!!
1:18 left we got a tie game now! |

Yeah. Think you are right. 🤣 |

Looking at this it was a very badly played game by the Kraken. They tried to play run and gun just trading chances tonight. Gone was the strong defensive play that limited shots and gave them the chance to win. Also Gru was off tonight and it showed. He was not that sharp either. .744 SV% and a couple he definitely wants back.
Big goose egg on the powerplay again and that makes us 0 for the past 21 chances. That’s just god awful bad. Especially when Kessel scored on theirs.
I guess I’d say they took the Yotes too lightly, got away from their heavy grinding defensive game and didn’t limit chances and it just came back to bite them with a lost win and two points.

“Just overall in some critical areas, our focus was not there,” Kraken coach Dave Hakstol said.
Really have to wonder here if Francis got the right man. Focus, structure, how they play. The dismal powerplay. I still am not sold Hakstol is the right guy to be heading this team up.
When Gourde sounds more like the coach should in post game than Hakstol does that is worrisome. I definitely have to question putting Soucy in for Lauzon and breaking up your shutdown d pairing. Yes its the Yotes but Crouse, Kessel et all still can score and hurt you. Removed a top four D and put in our 5-7 guys. That isn’t playing the matchups that is borderline crazy.
Good news is Blackwell and Johansson are back practicing without restriction and should be back soon. Should bump McCormick out. Not that he has been bad but hasn’t brought anything really either. And covers Donato possibly being out longer. McCann back will also help huge. |

Excellent post friend. I wouldn't hesitate to call it "blog worthy". |
