a week of this sad episode isn’t it time to move on
- spanky

Oh, I'm sorry. It must have been such a hard week for you. Such a sad "episode" this past couple of days must have been.

This is the current state of affairs for the Blackhawks. For the fan base. This isn't, or shouldn't, be a place where you can hide from what happened "and just talk hockey." The leadership of your favorite team made certain that is impossible for all of us.

In other news, the Blackhawks are bad at hockey. Colliton is overmatched as a coach. We have an interim GM, so changes won't be made to the coaching staff this year.

It all just feels a little less important now.

This team is disinterested, no focus no system. Management drafts multiple d men in first rounds and then bring up guy from 5th round and play 10 minutes

First 5 goals against, common denominator a forward trying to cover a forward in the goalies crease. The kid needs to go, i think this is the only concept he knows. Leafs coach bad or his players aren't listening to him. No patience to set up in the ozone. Whatever but this kid sure isn't coaching to this teams strengths

And if you say Carolina is playing the same system, no they are not they are more times than not keeping 4 defenders below the circles

The investigators did not come to a conclusion

They just did the investigation and compiled the testimony and info

It's the media that is trying this case and coming to their "conclusions"

- TheGame316

Did you read the report? There's no need to rely on the media's conclusions, it is pretty clear what happened. Those coaches and FO staff all deserved to lose their jobs.

Except for the playoffs
- BetweenTheDots

Hmm I dunno if you noticed but went to the conference finals a couple years back with the same system.

The problem in the playoffs hasn't been defense. It's been scoring goals.

Yea but the league has figured this crappy system out. Tons of talent on your team, and if a dman is leading the charge into the offensive zone he hurts your chances of scoring unless his name is Hamilton or Hedman or some other prolific scoring defenseman. But hey good luck on winning the presidents trophy

I really wanted to let this pile of absolute dog poop go by the wayside, but I couldn't help it.

This is obviously a comment from someone who knows about as much about science as my pet cat. Lets just take one piece of this idiocy-laden claptrap and that is there is no "biological evidence" and go from there. There are MANY instances of homosexuality in the natural world (we could call that..."biological evidence"). MANY instances. And given I have a couple years as science as a background, without personally studying these cases on a detailed level, my experience tells me their "biological reactions" are more than likely influenced by their genetic code, chromosomal, chemical if you will.

You may also be stupefied to find out that not only is homosexuality actually a part of the natural world, but so is SEX CHANGE. Yep, there are animals that actually can change sex. Don't you just love "intelligent design?"

This sentence is beyond my knowledge of scientific inquiry, but it's outlandish in the least, dangerous and idiotic in the worst. You state "thousands of cases of abuse" show that abuse leads to homosexuality. What in the hell are you babbling about? Are you saying if a straight kid is raped by a straight guy he becomes gay? Are you saying that ANYONE who suffers abuse (even if heterosexual in nature) ends up leading a life of homosexuality? This paragraph is breathtakingly asinine.

I guess because Jeff Dahmer was gay that proves all serial killers were gay right? Forget the fact Ted Bundy preyed on college girls.

Where is your "research"? Is it peer-reviewed? If you actually researched this, then please provide links to the respected journals of science so I can have a read. Otherwise, you should STFU.

I know citing you tube as a source is fantastic. So whatever you hear on the internet that you think is true, is true

And they'll get you a source who said it, but was discredited, but then they'll say but they were discredited by fake news, such a (frank)ed up circle these people live in

Because as we know it's almost a virtual certainty that ANY outward expression of an individuals phenotype (their observed characteristics, say blonde hair, blue eyes, or fill in the blank) is 100% directly caused by their genotype (ie, their (frank)ing genetic code).

There was an alligator at Humboldt Park beach a couple of years ago, IIRC.

Don’t recall any sharks.

But there must have been at least one….

This place has been jumping it for a few days now.

Yea no poop, forget peer-reviewed scientific journals. I won't stand by and let charlatans, jesters and outright d-bag liars bloviate about genetics and science. If you have a scientific hypothesis (actually scratch that, a scientific "certainly" such as the said poster and his ilk provide) that postulates any scientific conclusions, ESPECIALLY in matters of how we treat our fellow man, you damn (frank)ing well better have some peer-reviewed results on board.

He was the low rung on the totem pole at the meeting. The people he would of reported it too were already present in the room.
- LAHawk

Yes exactly I'm sure that's how the league sees it. With all those people there you can't hold him accountable at least to the level of losing his career to do anything else.

I don't usually get in the mud and I'm sorry for any abuse you suffered but if what I read between your lines is to mean "people can be reprogrammed" you're a (frank)ing idot I don't believe a word you say!
- rpeters01

Reprogrammed? As in, changing orientation? I can’t speak for myself because my journey is still on going. But there are plenty of genuine people who have changed orientation but they still harbor attractions of same sex because of the environmental factors. Meaning they are still deeply affected by abuse.

Examples you can look up on YouTube and hear their stories. Walt Heyer (his story is far worse than I ever could imagine). Dennis Jernigan. Charlene Cothran. This one of each: trans, gay male and lesbian. They are all heterosexual now.

Lastly, don’t be like kwolf. Abusive language is abuse. So, please keep it civil.

Just facts now that all of the Stan Bowman diehard loyalists on this page supported the leader of a sexual assault cover up. So all you guys who for 5 years have defended Stan Bowman….. I ducking told you he sucked.

Stan’s parting gift is sending 3 top 10 picks for Seth Jones and Columbus will probably even get a Top 5 unless this catastrophe continues badly enough to get 1st or 2nd pick. Stan Couldn’t wait until next summer to overpay him for free as a UFA!

Stan Bowman is a cancerous swine that took a Stanley Cup championship roster and sent it to the abysmal depths of suck for which they will now occupy for the foreseeable future.

Enjoy the train wreck for the next 10 years after 5 years of mediocrity

From the game:

-Sloppy playing
-Stupid, individual mistakes (McCabe)
-Weak goaltending
-Some good hustle and fight back
-De Angelo losing the fight and then acting victorious was funny.

From the Aldrich-debacle:

-Two deserving culprits, one the criminal, one those covering it up in some capacity.
-Going after anyone else is just ridiculous, sickening modern day social media witch hunt.
.We will never know enough of this s-storm to form opinions to judge most of the individuals.

-For me this doesnt dent the 2010 cup or anything else the Hawks achieved on the ice, I support and continue to support the team and the doings of a few a-holes on its payroll dont change that one bit.

New blog! A summary of the Hurricanes 6-3 thumping of the Blackhawks to extend the season-opening losing streak to 8 games.

The Hawks keep the hunt for the first W going tonight against the Blues while the IceHogs have a rematch vs the Stars.

Right, because it's not hard to pick them in the rotation so they end up on the wrong side of the puck. In that playoff series between Bolts and Canes i noticed both teams when they could draw the defender out the opponent had the best chance to score
