I read the explanation from Bettman. Chevy was I one meeting where it was only generally discussed and by the time there were further meetings he was in Winnipeg.

There is a sense, to me, that all that are guilty are equally guilty, and subject to the same rough punishment (a day discussing hockey defense with Dots).

This is wrong, imo.

It's entirely possible that the 3some between Aldrich, Beach and the unnamed woman (Which Beach conveniently left out of his statements) turned into some guy/guy action that Aldrich probably initiated, or potentially coerced and that Beach felt dirty about after the fact

In the report, Vincent said that he approached Beach when he had "Heard some things" (How would Vincent have heard about it before Beach told anyone) and apparently Beach had somewhat grudgingly confirmed. If word got out, it was likely that Aldrich was telling stories, that's where rumours start and undoubtedly teasing not far after that (Given this was 2010).

If this is when Beach tried to get in front of it and downplay it and only told Gary that nothing had happened but that Aldrich had only "tried to get in the sheets" then the people involved didn't have the full story in 2010

Beach was less than forthcoming in the report, given all the different and contradictory statements. Hard to say how forthcoming he was back then

Sure, the Hawks should have informed HR and started an official investigation. But does that fall on all of them? Or the head guy (McD) who said that we would be the one to take care of it

When they saw/heard that Aldrich was let go, Is it fair that they thought the matter was resolved, especially if they weren't given the full scope of info?

Not getting all the praise for Boyton and Sopel. They "knew" for 10 years and did nothing about it until the allegations were in the public eye and now they're heroes? They heard rumors' like everyone else in the league and once they got conformation they acted like they knew all along it was more than rumors. Did either guy ever reach out to Beach in those 10 years? Doubtful.

Especially if they make good hires. Go outside the org, and make good hires, and it will be a new world.

I'd move Kane and Toews, just because I don't think they'll ever be close to team needed to compete for a cup in the next few years.

Moving them will get everyone out of the org who was there (except Rocky, its good to be the King), will also speed up the rebuild.

Funny, was just thinking as much abuse as Stan took here, what is the feeling when you learn that he wanted to start the rebuild 2 or 3 years ago and wasn't allowed to.......

That McD overruled him because that is what he wanted to do. As I have said many times before as long it is sold out no reason to change. McD’s excuse would have been if you unload one or both you risk that. Money talks and that is why they continued to go with the Glory Year players.

How is Kane still in protocol ? Did he test positive and is showing symptoms?

Something else bigger going on behind the scenes perhaps?

McCabe is having a … tough night.
