That’s the young C. Young RD defensive d man. Smith with celery retained flipped at the deadline and a 1st… checks every box. But I just don’t see Vegas doing that.

We're catching Vegas on day two of a back to back with two days off for us. Give me the Sabres by three or more. Vegas won't even get 24-hours rest between end of game one and puck drop against us. Good night, Knights.
edit: I don't know who Kim Pegula sucked off in the NHL scheduling department, but she must go balls deep. This is the best start to a year to build a team's confidence I could think of. - lacaprup

Well getting your C and Dugan has potential. And Smith can be flipped at the TDL. I would think the picks will have conditions on them, I think I would want better than a 3rd.
Ahhhh. Ullmark is not worth 6 x 5 or 5x5. I’m happy we didn’t sign him.

If the Sabres had Ullmark as their number 1 they would be very happy. The injuries the goalies went through last year are related to just how soft this team was and still are. In the end they will miss him and realize adding grit will make them better.

Exactly!! But has the perspective changed on the hopes this year. The Sabres aren't as bad as people were hoping on here. Yes there will be bumps in the road this year, but I don't think they finish bottom 3 this year. Is it a must know in a Eichel trade to get a C. I am still in the Camp of just wanting good hockey players, be it a C or a good young RD.
