Does he keep his job, or does the NHL suspend him indefinitely?

The result of this meeting with Bettman will need to occur prior to guessing.

Bad look by the Panthers not to put him on admit leave prior. The report clearly indicates he's as complicit as Bowman and MacInnis. He was in a position of power and did nothing. Using the Nazi slogan of 'jus' doin me job' ain't (frank)ing it and is completely unacceptable.

Babcock was blackballed from the NHL because of emotional abuse. Q should and will suffer the same fate. He's a great coach in a lot of ways, but not protecting your players is one big (frank)ing failure.

on yesterday's BuzzCast Kevin Allen acted like "theres NO WAY" the players knew. Captain Jonathan is too high class to have known such a thing!!! It is this kind of cognitive dissonance & old boy mentality that allows a sexual assault to be covered up 11 years. Of course everyone knew. Everything done in the dark will eventually be brought to light.... time for old man Quenville's comeuppance !

I've been saying for months now that the league and/or team should have forced Eichel's move already rather than letting this drag on and on. He either has to get the surgery the team wants, or he can file for medical arbitration...those are the 2 options. Seriously, why/how has this been going on so f'ing long without the league enforcing the cba?

It seems like Eichel may be stalling in order to get closer to next summer's bonus, stalling to make the team and nhl look bad, stalling to get the team fatigued into caving to accept a crummy trade just to get it over with...similar to the strategy used by powerful and shady businessmen/politicians who use lawsuits and endless litigation to wear down their opponents who don't have the lawyers and resources to fight for years in courts.

Stalling helps Eichel's career exactly 0%.

should be suspended without pay. All of the "insider" journos love regurgitating cliches like "its his body, its a human right!" . If he doesnt want to abide by the CBA he can go live his life and forgo the 50 million dollars outstanding. No one has a gun to his head forcing him to work under these draconian conditions; where you get paid 10 million dollars a year to act salty and whine like a baby

Toews and Kane basically defended Q and Bowman yesterday in their post game interviews, almost making it out that they were the victims.

Absolutely disgusting

Incorrect. If that were true then Eichel would have done one of the 2 things I said earlier in order to get this over with. He obviously thinks going on and on without getting the team's surgery or filing for arb IS better for his career. And the NHL and Sabres are letting him drag this on instead of enforcing the CBA.

That's false.

He wants his surgery. The team won't let him have it. The team wants a surgery he doesn't want. It's an extremely significant surgery. Both parties are legally within their rights. Jack is in his prime and an elite hockey player. Delaying his chance to play is absolutely, unequivocally, zero benefit to him.

they could have suspended him before the hearing, see sean avery on the sloppy seconds comment

I doubt the panthers will fire him, as I have said before and he was coaching last night

so the options are nhl suspend him or he steps down

but let this sink in, a sloppy seconds comment the nhl acted right away, and in this case they let a coach stand behind the bench 30 hours after the story broke and ignored it when the story was sent to them years ago

Not having the surgery could affect other areas of the neck, we aren't taking this into account either. Could cause more damage.
