I miss Prince Chill's posts. Top 5 in humor value of all time. In no paticular order:

1. Prince Chill
2. Jochfr
3. 3ER - of course I'm going to vote for myself
4. Beady - he's lost a step though.
5. Kaiser's posts were never funny, but every once in a while they were hilarious

If anyone feels slighted, I'm sorry, but you're not living up to my expectations of you. Try harder. I can't think of the last time I laughed on here. Total snoozefest. Actually, Let'enemin was decent.

good point...this is actually a time where levity should be reigning supreme as the sabres are a pleasant surprise

Defense were going for a premium this offseason...

Risto is not a better player than Reinhart and definitely does not contribute even close to what Reinhart does.

- DirtyDan

Interesting opinion.

Why wouldnt a team want a guy that can play center and wing?

When you say contribute, is it playing time?
Is it points, effort, physical play?

Like I havent ever referenced bone headed/ brain fart plays?

Just because a guy plays with a low hockey IQ doesn't make him worth more than 0 games will borgen.

- Boss34

Not calling you out, Boss. Personally I think the defense is way better without him, though. Watching him play a bajillion minutes and whip the puck down the ice to no one got pretty old.

KA nailed the trade

He played in the preseason and was injured for like 5 days. It’s not like he missed training camp.

But sure you can keep using it as an excuse

- sbroads24

I enjoyed your response and I enjoy our banter.
Should take a little time for a guy who's game is based on conditioning, to find his groove...

I'm going to scale it back so we can move forward.

Risto is definitely a train wreck at times.
Glad he gone.

The 5 x 5 scoring this year by the Sabres is outstanding.

You've always emphasized even strength scoring, and I now keep a closer eye on the goal situations.

I appreciate that ☝️

Coming off a contract. The whole media was saying he wanted to go back out west to his home.

You can look at any stats you want. Reinhart is better in every category except giving the puck away and hits on Ovechkin.

if your guys do not get injured or reinhart misses a bunch of games

You definitely have the injury concerns intangible.

Question - if Adams could flip Anderson for a 2nd or 3rd at some point this season for a playoff team desperate for solid goal-tending depth, should he:

1) take the 2nd (or 3rd) and run?
2) keep Anderson around to help develop a professional, winning attitude amongst the youngin's?

To me, this is a tough choice.

Worst period of hockey this year, 3rd last night.
Dahlin has got to be more consistent on a nightly basis from an effort standpoint. Cant be on the ice for every goal against, barely try, then handed the OT time.
Tage was lacking on the back check and effort after the broken play. Disappointing, but not giving up on him.
No Cozens in OT?
I’m really liking goalofssons play even strength this year.

%1000skimmer agree.

Obviously I like big hits and physical plays.

You may not know but I'm a 3rd world broken english guy seasom tirket holdier and can afford 300 level seats.

I've seen enough...

I said last night that Olofsson looks excellent this year.

He’s been great 5 on 5

Could some of that be a players situation?

You're a reasonable poster.

Risto played the most difficult matchups thru out his career. He logged huge minutes.
Never had a good d partner...

Sam played with Jack. Majority of the time.

Take this for what it's worth, you always noticed risto (good and bad) . Sam would be non existent for huge portions of the game.

This has been proven time and time again not to make a difference on Sam's production though. Without Eichel, he became a goal scorer. Yeah, shooting percentage was unsustainable, but it was how he was scoring. Put where Eichel was and boom, the goals start piling up.

As for always noticing Risto, as a person who played defense growing up, if you are noticed the majority of game it's a problem, even if you make a few great plays here and there. You and I know I'm not a the biggest Risto basher here, but one thing I will always remember is the way he exploded sticks at just the worst times.

I loved both of em.

Reality is Risto never lived up to the hype. Clearly we didn't give him the help or development he needed but it was the same with Sam and Sam found ways to become a better player. He didn't play with jack last year and put up .74/pts per game.

Risto would be having a good game then make the dumbest blunder. Like when he tripped over himself.

i guess it would depend upon whether or not the sabres are in the playoff chase...although, admittedly, the odds are stacked heavily against them

and then you'd look at the scoresheet and he's got a couple of points...

You always weasel out with some logical, patient answer.

What if the Sabres are in the playoff chase, but a few points out. There are exactly 28 games left in the season. Jack Quinn is still amazing.

What do you do Pach?

Ristolainen

0 goals 0 assists 0 points

5th among D in average ice time

I thought points and ice time mattered?

- sbroads24

I was a bit worried his issue here for a couple years was motivation. That he plainly didn't care.

That wasn't the issue. Nothing has changed.
