Actually...its not the right way to manage.....almost anything.
- Fakepartofme

He’s assessed what he has. He’s listened to offers for trades and determined that none of them make his team better based on his set of values of what make a successful team. He can either change those values based on what he’s seen or carry on. He’s chosen the latter because he thinks the losses were more the result of extraneous circumstances - injuries and star players not playing up to their potential.

(He didn’t tell me this stuff. That’s just the way I see it.)

I've read the rules at least 3 times and I still don't exactly know what I'm allowed to do.

Of course, and listening to what others think to make the best possible decision. That's just being smart.

But at the end of the day, if you don't manage things according to something you believe in, you might just get fired anyway for something you didn't even believe in.

I'd rather succeed or fail with something I believe in, rather than something that was imposed upon me.

He can still believe in the core but change how he/they go about things...on and off ice.
They need to make on ice adjustments for sure, how they went about the PP and possession game in the playoffs....failed badly. They had half a season to adjust the PP....but no..."eventually it would work" is what the believed. They used the same "eventually it would work" mentality during the playoffs. It failed as well.
Those are the changes Id like to see, pivot play, pp, pk if its not working. Keep the core thats fine, believe in them....but change systems when needed or is not working.

Its not about changing the core, moreso how to utilize the players they have and the systems they use.
Keep the core, thats' fine....but try new looks, different systems/plays etc.

Even Dubas said they didnt want to change anything because they believed it would eventually work. It didnt.
So this year, thats what I'd like to see. If it doesnt work, try something else.

Ok, but you need to differentiate between the role of GM and coach. I didn’t read the interview but did Dubas say he wouldn’t change the PP or any of the systems that Keefe uses? One change that might help is that Keefe has the players to create a real shut down 3rd line that would reduce the minutes that Matthews/Marner spend starting in the D zone and their minutes overall. There’s some speculation that they had piled up too many minutes compared to other top lines going into the playoffs.

Anyway, a lot of the stuff you’re talking about is Keefe’s responsibility.

You're right CC.. Look at last season, Dubas signing Joe Thornton was a good idea.. Keefe playing him with Matthews and Marner was not a good idea.

Ok, I correct myself. You bravely associate yourself with Max’s post where he has a pouty attack because someone disagrees with him.

My biggest concern here is that you're using a gif of Shia LaBeouf.

I mean really, Shia LaBeouf?

I'm not actually sure what his stance is on COVID, but I'm willing to bet a pitcher and a plate of nachos that it's wackier than Drexel's.

Which begs the question... Was Dubas hiring Keefe a good idea... 🤔

As much as I want to rag on Dubas and his "Soo Only" protocols, Keefe's regular season record is franking outstanding.

Hmmm yeah I don't think he was looking to sell it as a joke with the "who's hiding" post and the silly ass 'boo' GIF when someone referenced him exposing himself.
