A prospect in Sons of Anarchy was akin to a red shirt in Star Trek, so in that regard . . . |

A prospect doesn't have to be signed to be counted, just their rights accounted for. By that logic all NHL teams have 40 prospects minimum.
Also by that logic, I assume the Vancouver fans issue to be being unable to count to 40. |

I can explain : about 1 in 500 people in the US have died from Covid related issues. There is no clear end in sight yet to the pandemic, some good news and some bad. It would seem to me that putting strong focus on getting vaccines out quickly and making sure children - who can have significant exposure by simply going to school are on the list to get vaccinated ASAP. Changes to protocols are justified based on the huge risks to the populations around the world.

Rielly left scrimmage yesterday with a boo boo and didn’t return today. Holl had to be helped to the locker room today. (Since Muzzin carried him all last year, shouldn’t be a problem, am I right Jonsey?) |

Nah Nucks fans can count. Leftcoaster is trolling and had difficulty coming up with anything interesting. Regulars on this blog know that anything outside of the top ten prospects in an organization are longshots to be impactful NHL players.

Sure they do. All teams do. Doesn't mean that the vast majority won't accomplish poop, though.
And it makes it insane to make a singular blog about each.
Last year I'm pretty sure Mike didn't even finish the count down before the season started. |

Not that surprising. It's what they can afford and similar to Ottawa hiring Pierre McGuire

I think you are mixing lots of things up, not getting facts straight etc.
Not a place to discuss this here I think.
Just for you to know that - again - I have been in vaccine R&D for 10+ years. Vaccines are one of the biggest gamechangers in public health of last 100years, together with antibiotics, clean drinking water and sanitation.
however -- the current covid vaccines are just not good enough (no long lasting protection) and long term risks are unknown (not saying they are high, just stating that we do not have data on this). even if vaccinated, you can still transmit to at risk groups.
children are not an at risk group. the risk of potential negative health effects of poorly tested platforms (in particular referring to mRNA vaccines) might be higher than the risk of falling seriously ill to covid.
a good parent should strongly consider the pros and cons of getting your kid a covid vaccine over the next 12-24 months -- at least until new data comes in.
best to focus on other preventive measures and to make sure these vaccines are made available to those that need them most -- in particular low and middle income countries.

Let me guess, muzzin even had to carry him to the locker as well? |

Hi Max : I understand your points completely and also acknowledge you are in the industry. I am a scientist and have a strong backround in actuarial science and as well as feasibility studies. Managing risk on a large scale may seem to be gambling to some and it is not without flaws. Doing things, "the way we have been doing it for decades" is not always the best choice when it comes to large scale risk from a new event.

Children are not high risk per say but they undoubtedly assist with the spread. My cousins entire family caught covid from their 3 year old who picked it up at day care.
To ignore their spread potential just because they aren't considered high risk is illogical, this is without factoring in that certain variants (delta) have proven to be much more impactful and contagious with children than previous versions. If they can spread it, they keep it going, and someone who is high risk is further impacted as a result regardless of whether children are themselves or not.
We don't have the option in Canada yet, but if the vaccine is improved for under 12, it just becomes another important tool in stopping the spread entirely. |

Honestly, there are 3 or 4 names on this list who may pan out and become NHL players. The odds are lower, but the ceiling is there (Villeneuve, Voit, Rindell and Steeves come to mind). |
