I think they will try him LW in Top6 though.
Ritchie–Matthews–Marner
Kerfoot –Tavares–Nylander
Mikheyev–Kampf–Kase
Bunting–Spezza–Simmonds
Rielly–Brodie
Muzzin–Holl
Sandin–Dermott
Mrazek/Campbell - VeryModernMan
Oh, I think you're right on the money about him playing in the Top 6. I just feel like he's not quite qualified for the job and that the Top 6 needs another truculent player to balance the Core 4 madskillz. |

Robbie Ray no longer a contender for Cy Young.
He is the winner. |

Gerrit Cole is making a strong case for it. I think Ray has been ever-so-slightly better though. |

Send offered 8x8 to Tkachuk? He's gotta take that, no? |

I disagree with respect to Jordie Benn. He's a journeyman whose best days - as less-than-mediocre as they were - are decidedly behind him. He doesn't really hit much and isn't an intimidating force -- or, maybe I just haven't seen enough of him beating the piss out of opponents.
Biega isn't particularly good (or mediocre, even), but I feel like he's our Jordie Benn. A slightly smaller but feistier version.
Suffice it to say, neither Benn nor Biega should be considered anything more than an emergency option.
Dermott, for all of his mediocreness, is almost certainly better than both. And that pains me to say it.
But yes, I would like to see a Bogo replacement who is actually a legit bottom pairing guy who can dish out some pain. Then again, I'd also like to see Liljegren given ample opportunity to see if he can actually play.
Which is to say: more truculence in the Bottom 6 would be where I would spend my $$$ and hope that the Top 4 d-men can carry the load. - mjones242
🤮
Then make a minor trade for someone who fits the bill, all the same to me. 🤷🏻♂️

Please enlighten me on how you came to those conclusions.
In terms of experience, neither is proven at the NHL level, and as for "pro" experience, it's a wash in Liljegren's favour. - GreatGigInTheSky
Sure
Timmins played for Colorado in the playoffs
Lilly played in the AHL
Hopefully this helps |

My guess would be between 15-18ish if he stays healthy. - GreatGigInTheSky
Agree. I would think the probability of Hyman getting injured for 10 games or more is higher than the probability of him scoring 25+. He's dealt with an injury of some type three straight seasons. |

I think 3.5M would be better spent on a legit 3C or Top 6 winger. I feel like Kerf isn't quite either of those things. - mjones242
Kerfoot is a legit 3rd liner that can move up for short stints if need.
Hes been one of our most consistently good players in the playoffs |

Atkins sucks. Masai sucks - Canada Cup
No masai has proving his worth.
Atkins rebuilt his team and still has some great prospects. Along with making some great signings and trades.
Dubas has done ok, but we know his downfall are contracts and not being able to pivot |

Lets trade Nylander and Kerfoot, so we'll have zero playoff performers.. |

It's most likely too much for a guy who never scored at a 60points/82 game pace.
Despite him bringing the "bumhole" to the ice every game, which in itself is worth something.

I think it was Toffoli who said he knew Montreal was going to win when Muzzin went down.
He is an integral piece of the team. I wish they would have done something to mitigate the risk of Muzzin getting hurt.

I think it's been obvious Muzzin is the Leafs most important defenseman since he went down vs Columbus 2 years ago.
It was just a repeat last year.
It's still going to be the case next year, hopefully for the Leafs, he stays healthy this time.

I agree about Masai and Atkins. Was Dubas fired? He has chosen not to pivot because he still believes in the core. |

You gotta respect him for sticking to what he believes in though.
He will live or die with it, which is the right way to manage.... well anything.

Actually...its not the right way to manage.....almost anything.
In management for any company...its about change and adjustment |

Of course, and listening to what others think to make the best possible decision. That's just being smart.
But at the end of the day, if you don't manage things according to something you believe in, you might just get fired anyway for something that just wasn't you.
I'd rather succeed or fail with something I believe in, rather than through something that was imposed upon me. |
