van moves out 12m in cap, OEL costs 7m and proly gonna sign Garland for 5m...thats 12m so cap wise its neutral but van gets alot better

Kinda hilarious that the Flyers had to give up more for Risto than the Devils did for Subban. Besides, Subban plays an integral role for the Devils in keeping us above the cap floor.

How is this a bad trade for Vancouver? They got the two best players in the trade (by far) dumped a tonne of dead cap space and Arizona even retained some of OEL's salary. All for a 1st, 2nd and 7th.

HOLY CRAP! Pencil Vancouver in for most goals for in the league next year.
Garland is going to do so well as a Canuck as he will add some chemistry to the fire power that's already there. Great trade and lots going the other way.
Arizona seems like a dumping ground and I wonder if the league will be paying close attention cause this getting out of hand. Very savvy moves here acquiring assets for now and picks for the future. I want to be on these calls to hear how these deals get done. I think Aaron Sorkin should take a look at whats happening with Hockey in the Desert. Could be a movie there.
