I am fine with doing that. I also think that is a fair argument. I also think Farabee is a better player than either Kakko or Laf. The latter just happened to be drafted earlier and with more fan fair than Farabee. They also wear blue when they play so...... - mickel25
I watched a bunch of Rangers games last 6-7 weeks of the season.
I would like to make a bet with you. Lafreniere is going to be a perennial all star starting from within 3 years time. |

Maybe silent because people don't really care that much, migranes, concussion, either way he had issues. - bradster
Well, several were quite adamant then.
If there are enough dots, and you connect them, chances are that the picture you come up with will be the skeleton of what the other dots will add flesh to. |

And who would that Hart finalist be? Not Eichel, which is who I thought we were talking about. |

Danault for $4Mil per year as 3rd line shutdown center? That helps with goals against... Report saying he isn't expected to resign with Habs. Would $4mil be the figure? - cdearth23
Yeah I like that move. 3C is something that should be discussed with Patrick gone. I like Laughton on the wing. |

Eichel has shown he’s nothing more than a nice player. No guarantee he gets any better on a different team. I don’t even consider him elite right now. He’s just a high draft pick. He’s a nice player. Some say Evander Kane ruined him as a pro early on. - black_francis
I am a little agnostic on that one. The stat that Tomahawk keeps posting, the fact that Taylor Hall languished on his wing and then flourished with Krejci, and his spine give me pause.
If you pressed me, I would choose Eichel over Couturier because in my opinion the latter is simply not good enough to be the 1C on a team like ours to lead us to a championship. He needs a player better than himself on his wing to do that.
Eichel has a higher ceiling and lower floor. I would take that risk, but somewhat tepidly. |

Im reading Frost will be at least given a good opportunity to lock down that 3C spot this upcoming season.

People should care immensely. Either
1) the team lied about the concussions
2) the doctors lied or were incompetent in diagnosis of concussions and fed team false info
Either way it’s a major issue |

Or asked/told him to stay quiet about it. Hence the discord between him and the team. Makes a little more sense him asking for a fresh start in that light (true or not) |

I like and hope the stinko /Jake deal happens (as long as 1st isn’t traded in that package)
My day absolutely made if they take ghost in the Ed.
Remove Jake and ghost in a few hour span - Stayin alive
I agree with this.

I know right… something is just severely wrong with the whole situation. It reeks of the (frank)ing bean counter getting involved somehow. There isn’t a stigmate with concussions anymore. There’s no reason to try to deceive about them. Actually to the contrary it’s beneficial to come clean about it.
Something stinks and I have to believe (frank) head Scott is severely involved. |

Danault is Diet Coots. Believe it or not, Danault's been a better ES scorer than Eichel over the past 3 seasons lol. - Tomahawk

Well, I guess he will not be one of them:

Who knows what they discussed internally. Saying something to the press, and internally are two different things, and Ellis' shoulder issue is a perfect example

Very possible. I think he has way more to show then people saw last year....I watched at least 75-80% of his Ohio State games and he has more skill to tap into then he got to show.

I am often accused of dwelling too much on stats. My assessment of AF is actually exclusively based on the eye test. There were some instances this past season when I went whoa! and hit rewind. That never happens with Farabee.
I see Farabee ceiling as Simon Gagne. Legit 1st line winger, good 2way, good hockey sense, great positioning. But not a game breaker. Will need someone better than him to form a threatening first line.
I see dominant, game breaking, line carrying potential in AF. But I am not however the best eye-test guy. I was completely wrong about Couturier. I am also possibly biased because of where AF was picked. |

Yeah I mean they definitely should not tell us the fan base what was discussed internally. But the team held press conference and stated and led the fan base to believe and stayed nopa definitely did not sustain concussion(s). That his “migraines” were from family history and has dealt with them in past.
These were flat out lies. Nopa Monday confirmed that
What is to be gained by the team doing this?
How confident is the fan to be when any injury comes up? I mean you as fan ARE invested with time $ emotion and should not be lied too or purposely deceived by the team. I mean you want me to go to games. Buy merch. Support the team.
Honestly it reminds me of lindros punctured lung… was it team doctor incompetent or what. This team has a history of deceit. Not funny but funny how it came out lindros could’ve died had he got on that plane.
I mean wtf are the flyers fans incapable of handling the truth? Are they children? Or thought to be? Dysfunctional I say |

Hard to score when you're buried in 75% dzone starts and you can't rest properly because you're constantly on and off the ice taking every FO that matters.
With that said, I wouldn't pursue him for the Flyers. Hayes will be the Flyers' 3C sooner than later. |
