But Patrick indicated Monday he was dealing with concussion symptoms while sitting out.
“Injuries are part of the game, and my concussion was obviously the tough one keeping me out that long,” Patrick said. “It was pretty scary times, but happy to be healthy now.” |

The more I consider the next Flyers move, the more I come back to Adam Larsson as they player they need to get. In a perfect world a contract like 5 years at $4M should get it done, but the Flyers will need to outbid several teams to get him, so it may be more like $4.5-$5M for 4 or 5 years. Whatever it is however, I think CF needs to get this done. But I would prefer Larsson over Savard or Harmonic. Then you go into next season with:
Ellis - Provorov
Larsson - Sanheim
Braun - York
Zamula
Assuming Ghost is selected or traded. I would be very happy with this defensive lineup for the Flyers going into next season. |

I think it's fair to say Chuck isn't done making moves and is still in the process of re-tooling our defense. Over and over Chuck mentioned we need to prevent pucks from going in and that was our biggest problem last season. The defensive make up will be his / the teams biggest change for this season. I'd be very, very please with the D-core you have listed above. Solid Vets for York and Zamula to lean on, too.

Interesting if true. - Deasr1
Just saw this, thanks for sharing. I like his argument about Larsson, I drew the same conclusion as I dived into it more. I am all in or getting rid of Jake V, but not excited about getting Tarasenko; as MJL stated the other day, lets bring in another injury riddled player, what the worst that could happen? :-) Don't really know much about Ullmark, but it looks like he and Bernier from Detroit might be the best options for Fletcher to bring in. If no one goes for Anderson as a starter and his price drops, he would be my top choice to bring in. |

Any reason you flipped the right hand and left handed guys? Also, have zero interest in Larsson and that cap hit or term. |

I would love larsson, that D sets up perfectly with him in there
I'm thinking he signs in Edmonton, but if not, i'd be all over that.

What would be the cost to get Risto? I've always liked his snarl. |

Not sure I understand your question. Ellis, Larsson and Braun are all RHD, and they would be paired with LHD. |

I think he would have signed by now if that was the case that he was only interested in Edmonton. At some point Larsson I would hope wants to win something and thus I would hope he sees that Edmonton is not going to win anytime soon, whereas the Flyers are all in on winning and are making the changes necessary to do so. This may be the best selling point for him. |

Yes, you listed them in the opposite direction. Doesn’t matter but threw me off at first.

Unless edmonton couldn't protect him, kind of like Landeskog. With a ...we'll sign you later arrangement

They're really gonna pass on Vince Dunn just to get a middling pick from the Flyers AND eat the rest of Jake's contract, too?

With the flat cap FA's are going to market to set the price then circling back to their team. This is normal but more important for the players and their current team due to the flat cap. I think Larrson is the same. |
