Ellis broke a bone in his knuckle last season. States that any reports of shoulder surgery last season are false and has no idea where those came

😆 I thought it was a shoulder. So funny how the rumors just run out of control. Knuckle surgery sounds a lot better then shoulder surgery. No surgery would be the best though🤣

Itd be nice to have a day where we dont discuss how good Eichel is and trading away Couts. Can we put in on pause until after the draft this weekend?

Kind a makes the last couple of days a moaning and hand wringing about Ellis' heath seem like a big waste of time.

I like and hope the stinko /Jake deal happens (as long as 1st isn’t traded in that package)

My day absolutely made if they take ghost in the Ed.

Remove Jake and ghost in a few hour span

Funny how injuries or health seem to almost always either overblown or understated

Ellis shoulder injury ( just knuckle)
Nopa just migraines( turns out concussion)

I think Seattle takes Braun, for whatever my opinion is worth.

Danault for $4Mil per year as 3rd line shutdown center? That helps with goals against... Report saying he isn't expected to resign with Habs. Would $4mil be the figure?

Danault is Diet Coots. Believe it or not, Danault's been a better ES scorer than Eichel over the past 3 seasons lol.

With Eichel I think the issue is Buffalo. Funny how a poorly run organization can make you seem selfish. He has shown flashes of his talent. In a better line-up, I think he re-establishes his career.

Cost and severity of his injury are the only concerns. I personally feel the cost is too high for Flyers (as of last week).

Imagine Eichel centering G and TK or Farabee... Ahhh...

This whole Eichel for Couturier and whos better and we need to trade Couturier seems so mind numbing.

First until Eichel is healthy or you find out what is going on with his neck injury I have a hard time trading for him. From things I have read is that if he gets the surgery there are chances he might not come back to play. The surgery is no joke.

in regards to Couturier. I can't bring myself to trade our number 1 center without having an inhouse option ready. The Flyers currently don't have that. ANd if he is resigned I am not going to even guess the numbers. All I know is my team is better with him then without him. And being a guy that relies on his positioning and smarts I feel there isn't going to be a huge decline in his game as he enters his years of 35-36.

And the truth shall set you free. You know nopa and philly would’ve gotten a lot less flak if they would’ve said he had concussion. Like I said from day 1 migraines my ass. They HAD to be from head trauma. With what we know of concussions it would’ve been better to just fess up to the concussions from the beginning.

Yes, both you and I have long been skeptical. I found one such discussion, for once, by searching. I recall several others.

https://www.hockeybuzz.co...p?thread_id=168954&page=5

There were ample dots to connect. For me, the clincher was that he did not miss a game this season due to "migraines" and then played so skittish.

I notice those who were very dubious of this theory, most of whom are posting today, are remarkably silent.

Did not see that. Thanks. Flat cap would make it tough for Flyers to sign him.

I like the Diet Coots line.

Don't sleep on Wade Allison in top 9. Not our sniper answer just yet but 20 goal potential even on 3rd line.

A few of us have actually watched Ellis play, especially in the playoffs. Our concerns have little to do with his shoulder.

He is one of the top centers in the league. Is 25 in his prime. They have the assets to give up without crippling their team. When players like him become availbale you do what you can to acquire them. Well the fact he wants out of Buffalo shows me he is tired of losing and wants to win. Love that attitude. Unlike some players.

Will giving ex selke 8 million for 8 years hamstring the the flyers to some extent?

Would you trade the Flyers organization of players for the Rangers?

- hello it's me 2050

Along with 2 firsts. Are you even asking this question? They have a Norris Dman who didn't even need to be protected he is so young. They have a guy who is ahead or same pace as McDavid in points/ES-60 in Panarin. They have Lefrainiere who in my "eye test" will become a star soon.

Maybe silent because people don't really care that much, migranes, concussion, either way he had issues.

Yes, I would still be good with him at years 37 and 38

Who says it is going to be a 7 or 8 year term? Maybe he signs 5 year deal. Maybe 6. Maybe he signs for less years at higher AAV.

So who is replacing him if you do move him? Frost? The hope would be Patrick when drafted that he would develop as a top end center but that is not happening. Giroux will most likely be gone or at a lower cap hit. This team is not flush with high end centers right now. you can keep drafting and hoping to find one but we know that is not a sure thing.

I understadn the i quess hesitency about going long term but players are is such better shape and playing longer I really am not too worried bout it.

I’ve been seeing (on Twitter) rumors that he signed 8 year 5.8M deal with Seattle but now they’re saying he hasn’t signed anything.
