Couts is a nice player..Eichel is a potential Hall of Famer. Players arent even close. Rangers young players and prospects are far far superior then Flyers. They had an All Rookie D man playing #1 minutes..a 2nd yr guy win the Norris..and loaded with youth up front and in net. Plus they also have 3 top tier D prospects..not even close - hfc355
how do you figure that? |

Eichel has 5 years left at 10 per I think he’s 25 maybe 26.
Coots signing at age 30 🤮8+/???
Eichel more elite offensively
I’d take Eichel everyday of the week and twice on Sunday - Stayin alive
Absolutely not even a close decision |

Eichel's P/60 over the past 3-seasons is lower than Coots, Jake, Giroux, TK and JVR.

Really? Who do you thing they take?
So then a simple question for you. If the Rangers offered him straight up for Farabee would you make that deal? Yes or no. - hello it's me 2050
Right now based on actual NHL stats I would take Farabee. He has produced on a lesser team...right? Kakko and LAF are on the far superior Rangers and Farabee somehow outproduced them. LAF and Kakko are also blue chip prospects so I am confused.
|
|
|
|
So anyone wearing blue is better than anyone wearing orange? Did Farabee outperform LAF and Kakko last year? They were both selected higher in the draft were they not?
How did that happen? Farabee wore orange and black for every game? - mickel25
Kakko and Laf were only 19 yrs old last yr Farabee 21...make a comparison over next 2 yrs |

i think eichel is a good player, but the people acting like he's someone you trade whatever it takes to get him are really overrating him.
he's a potential hall of famer is actually really funny. i don't have a clue where that's coming from. |

Eichel has shown he’s nothing more than a nice player. No guarantee he gets any better on a different team. I don’t even consider him elite right now. He’s just a high draft pick. He’s a nice player. Some say Evander Kane ruined him as a pro early on. |

You enjoy your lunch. Might I suggest the bobbie from Capriotis. Very good.

If you wouldnt trade Farabee for LAF no sense in having a discussion. |

I am fine with doing that. I also think that is a fair argument. I also think Farabee is a better player than either Kakko or Laf. The latter just happened to be drafted earlier and with more fan fair than Farabee. They also wear blue when they play so......

Gotta take a player based on where they were drafted right? That’s why NoPa turned out so well and why people are lining up for JVR, right? |

A point a game player at age 24 on an awful team..he is elite...saying that I think Rangers would be crazy to give up 4 assets like they are asking for and then not be able to sign ZIB..I would keep Zib and the assets Zib is a quality 1C |

He's a guy who just feasts on the PP. At ES, he's not very competitive, doesn't play much D... is just content skating up and down the ice looking to score himself.
He gets a lot of icetime and really doesn't do as much with it as most of his peers. Put him on a better team where he actually has competition for icetime and doesn't get the luxury of 70% offensive zone starts and his numbers probably drop.

I wouldn’t touch Eichel between the neck injury, his salary and he seems like an ego guy. Just not worth it for the cost either. |

Potential.
Although I don’t think you can make the claim until the potential is realized over a period of time

Maybe they don’t want Dunn… if they take stinko then there’s a deal for sure. My guess is they either like other dmen as good or more than dunn or like the package of whatever d they select + voracek on team rather than selecting dunn. They can’t just take best player from every team that’s made available to them. - Stayin alive
I hear you, I think I was more thinking out loud. So far the Flyers offseason has me doing that pretty often, lol. |
