Maybe Bob just threatens to go back to Russia like he did with Philly. |

Trade him to Buffalo for Jeff Skinner. He can start and the salaries are similar. Figure out the extra year on Skinners deal and make it Happen. |

Both have NMC's. While I bet Skinner would say yes, I doubt Bob does.

Knight is on his ELC for two more years, that helps absorb the Bob cap hit.
Knight looked great in every one of the 6 games he played, and even looked more poised on the playoff stage than the other FL goalies, but still is only 6 NHL games.
Bob will be back next year with a chance to redeem himself. Improving the defense will go a long way to helping whoever is in goal for FL. Zito has a little time to figure out the Bob situation.
The main priority is moving Yandle. He started off well, but his play steadily deteriorated as the season went on. Idk if he was playing through an injury or was just wearing down (he seemed a little better for a couple of games after FL had several days off near the end of regular season). His streak seems to be his #1 priority, he won’t take the time to heal a minor injury (or to simply rest his tired legs from this year’s compressed schedule) so his play can improve afterwards. The iron man ends up showing up for every game, but starts to play more and more like butter.
He can still help a team on their power play, but FL has others who can fill his role there. |

Hopefully they don't cut their internal cap. I hope they can keep the roster together. They deserved a better fate, if only the goaltender situation had held up in the first 4 games. |

Until Bob shows he can win on a team not coached by torts and his defense first mindset I don’t see how anyone would want that salary.
Everyone talks about the concerns with a meddling ownership, but it’s clear the ownership here did not ask enough questions.

You know your Panthers. I think the scenario you laid out is plausible. As much as they would love to move out his money, they can live with if they have to. Yandle's situation is more pressing. The no-movement clause/age/salary on Yandle works against the Panthers, but Yandle is known as a good teammate. He's giib and outgoing, always popular in the dressing room. I think they can move him if he gives them a few teams to work with.
