Oh I'm certainly not saying those last 4 minutes were good, but I think the Caps took a lot of chances and caught the pens in tough spots. I don't think the caps can do that again. Either way, the pens probably could benefit from playing back a bit when in the O zone and tighten up the neutral zone.

Have you noticed what the caps are doing to slow down our breakouts? Our D are holding the puck behind the net a lot longer than usual tonight.

I did. They are applying pressure. I saw it happen to Marino and Dumo.

They only got outshot 10-8. I think it was more of that last gasp by the Caps to snag one before the period that made it seem worse. A desperate caps team is talented enough to make you look silly. The Pens should be better to start the 3rd.

This team can coast through entire games. Hopefully sully reminds them of the NJ meltdown.

Still no MM. I would have just figured some stitches.

Yah, it looked like the old 1-2-2, but I don't remember them doing that in previous games.

They were owning the game until the 3rd goal. Looking better now.

It's been talked about, but it seems like Sid just looks fatigued. I hope when Geno comes back it can take a pressure off.

He's one of the last guy's you want in the box considering he's a major key to the PK.

Agree it's a concern they relied on Sid too much this season with Geno and Blueger missing so much time.

Top line....specifically Sid and Guentz look gassed. Sounds like the post season won't start for a week after our last regular season game. Will be very beneficial for us.

Their minutes are about the same, but with this condensed schedule that's brutal. Hope they get some rest.

Guentzal is taking 3 or 4 massive hits a game. That's got to wear on a smallish guy like him.
