I’m sure Lou offered a 2nd and bellows. Something along those lines. |

They needed a break I think it’s awesome. Hopefully that’s what they needed we’ll find out Thursday. |

The exact quote was:
"I'll tell you this, if the Islanders had chosen him over Palmieri on Wednesday...I don't think he was saying no to that...........I heard the Islander offer was similar to the one that they did with Palmieri. Obviously there was a bit more in the Palmieri deal because Zajac was involved. Basically I heard last Wednesday that the Islanders were deciding, Palmieri or Hall, and the Islanders made their decision and went with Palmieri" |

At the end of the day I think its the right decision. Palmieri fits the Isles style perfectly. If the Islanders were more a run and gun team then I would have wanted Hall, IMO |

No doubt about it. I was pretty sure it was going to be Palmieri, if it was one of the two, but I am a little surprised they were that far along on Hall.
I can't recall if someone posted it here or it was on either Staple or Friedman's podcast but I think I remember hearing that they were still sniffing around Hall on Sunday night/Monday. Not really sure how they would've swung adding three new guys to the lineup (probably Wahlstrom coming out) but that would've been really loading for bear. |

Truly wonder if Lou ever really wanted to add Hall. Just doesn’t seem to be a Trotz type player. It’s a good read but honestly don’t think he knows what Lou and Co did imho.
Let’s be honest I’m sure Lou sniffed around Hall he needed to if he couldn’t get his main target Palmieri. That said it’s no real news that Hall would have said yes to going to The Islanders, why in the (frank) wouldn’t he.

Cause he signed a 1 year deal with a full ntc knowing that the bruins would be in it at the end and he could force a trade there if Buffalo well buffaloed. He wanted the Bruin last summer and this was just another way to get there |
