Waking up to a whole lot of trades wow. Coburn is a meh kind of move to me even though it’s just depth. Wonder if Lameriello does something else I’m assuming he won’t because we took on his full salary. |

Can Coburn be put on the squad for reduced hit? I'm still holding out hope that we pick up a more skilled LW than anything we currently have... |

They have 1.5 mil of cap room left. Unless there's salary going the other way there's not any room to add anything significant. |

His salary is 1.7 million not sure how impactful it is now prorated? Most probably not going to happen but a little piece of me is hoping we get Lee back in the 2nd round... |

Yeah of course but Coburn’s salary is 1.7 so at this stage of the season we’re not taking that entire number on cap wise no? |

Maybe we move Hickey (now that Coburn was added) and/or a forward? Not sure how much value he has but he played pretty well when he got his opportunity. |

Not sure we could get anything for him but why move him? He was existing depth we already had accounted for in regards to the cap and they somehow may believe losing Komarov would be bad. Haha. If someone wanted him which I doubt but if they did I do it without even thinking about it just for his salary next year but like I said it isn’t happening...
Edit; Forgot Hickey is signed till 2022 |

That's why I was hoping maybe him and maybe Bellows in a package might entice some team. Probably not |

love that " The Islanders also don't have the deepest prospect pool l" is still just constantly put out there by Ben every single year... lol. Last year Whalstrom, Bellows, Sorokin.. were not much...
Year before Dobson, This year I guess Bulduc, Bode Wilde, Holmstrom, Salo, Ishakov, Kouv.. all stink. Weird that all these non prospects end up being pretty good when they are in the NHL. I'm sure a 7th round pick in this year's draft will be better than all of them.. smh |

Full ACL repair.. I believe the low end of the range on recovery is 6months. He had the surgery around March 17th. So Unless we see a huge delay in playoffs like last year I don't see it happening unfortunately.

if we pick someone up it will most likely mean Whalstrom is sitting. Not sure I am ok with that... hopefully Lou moves a couple of guys to teams that need depth like Leo, Kuhnackl, or Hickey. ... never know.. has to be a reason he wouldn't put them on Waivers again. |

On cap friendly I saw 625k we are paying Coburn. He will not play unless there is an injury. |

He has to quarantine for a week he is coming from the Senators |

I don't even know where they could add at this point, so I have to assume Lamoriello is done unless he pulls off some insane trade that nobody saw coming that sees someone moved off the roster.
Coburn is good depth with experience. I'd imagine the plan is to hopefully never have to see him get in a game. |

Has a ring with Tampa of course but played three games total in the bubble and has been a pretty bad defenseman for a while. Not sure I would qualify that as good depth but he’s a body that has played so whatever he’s depth. Like you said hopefully he never plays and I agree with the rest of your post. I doubt Lou does anything else which is fine. I believe adding Zajac and Palmieri is going to be real good for this team. I also think this little break till Thursday will do wonders for them they look like they need it. |

Yea I just mean that he's an experienced guy in general. He's got 137 playoff games under his belt over the years. If he has to step in, I can think of worse guys to play.
Zajac and Palmieri looked a lot more comfortable last night. I love that Palmieri-Pageau-Wahlstrom line. |

Agreed I also thought Zajac looked good at times with Barzal and Eberle. He also gives them another option with face offs. |

If the Islanders clinch a PO spot we may see him in there to give the guys a rest before the PO run. I like it as an insurance policy against injury as well. |

Where did you see Full ACL repair? Being serious, i know they said it was an ACL however, I didn’t see where they actually disclosed the severity of the injury. |

I'm not even sure what they could add and who'd come out of the lineup? I have a hard time seeing Lou telling Zajac to grab a seat in the press box. Bailey isn't getting benched either, regardless of what a lot of people think of him.
One thing I will say: Clutterbuck hasn't gotten enough attention for being largely invisible this season. Not suggesting he's going to lose his spot in the lineup, but his style of play seems to have caught up to him at 33. |
