surprising. i always thought that the biggest advantage of having Jake Allen was that they could put him out there for 3-4 games at a time when Price inevitably went into the poopter for 2 months. why they are so deadset on putting him out there when he's so clearly a mess right now and you have a quality goalie like Jake Allen playing well is beyond me.

I'm of the belief he'll figure it out. Whether that means getting to a 0.915% guy or a 0.930% I'm not sure. However if I were him even if I never figured it out I'd be awful the whole way and keep collecting them cheques and so I won't blame him if he does either. I'd imagine pride has him wanting to get back to being who he knows he can be but even if he doesn't the cheques cash just the same

After flying back from Winnipeg yesterday, the Canadiens had a practice day today.

Outsiders take here.... Habs finished 24th last season, so I feel Burgervan had some unrealistic expectations heading into this season. While I didn't mind the Domi-Anderson trade, I did not like the immediate long term extension. The Allan trade was a little odd as well, but oh well.

This team is a bunch of badgers who typically outwork the other teams, and skate their tails off. That being said, it is not easy to bring that intensity every night on a condensed schedule. On those nights when the feet aren't moving as fast, you have to rely on high-end talent. Your Centers are not getting the job done, and that is crippling you guys at the moment. Druin and Denault need to find another gear, or this club will continue this trajectory. Time to start updating the resume Burg.
