I’m not sure jarmo would have torts approval for acquiring monahan for the same reasons we want to trade him.

That said I don’t think we’re talking huge add if it were to happen. Monahan may be coming off a down year but he has been a first line center that averages around 30 goals a season for the past 5 years. While he is older with only 2 years left on his contract after this one he is likely the best replacement Columbus would get back in any trade as teams aren’t looking to move 1st line centers for another first line center.

I don’t know how much better offensively Dubois will get but so far his point totals have been comparable to monahan’s. What makes Dubois more valuable is his age(potential) and all around game. Personally I don’t do it if the add is any of Dube, mangi, Pelletier, zary, Ras or valimaki, I would consider it if the add is a 1st but in all reality the actual value is probably a 2nd and maybe a prospect or 2. More than that would be an overpay especially considering Columbus isn’t dealing from a position of strength here.

Mang has become a very good player but I would support that move too.

Trusts that they can get the job done defensively, which would have given them better matchups for the following shifts. Coaches do stuff like that all the time, but you only notice when it backfires.

You’re probably right but Bennett’s the type of player you win with in the playoffs. I’d rather send Mang or Backlund if thats what it takes.

Nice to have Bennett in the playoffs. But need to make sure you make them first.

After his past 2 playoffs, and last reg season Money has minimal trade value when you include his contract. Not a bad player, but his overall value is at its lowest. Best to sit on him for a while and hope he over performs for a bit. You are not getting close to the value majority flames fans think he is worth rn. Maybe if he shows up for a bit. But not right now, no.
