I personally dont see Mony as a winger but i do see him as a #2 or maybe a 1B center.
If Columbus were to deal PLD to CAL they would likely want to center a deal around Rasmus, Vali, Mang or Dube and i'm not sure how i feel about that.
If we could acquire PLD for Mony and a significant sweetener (Zary, Pelltier or a 1st) I would be all over that. For expansion and cap purposes we would have to send an expansion draft protectable forward and money back to CBJ to make a deal work.

I personally dont see Mony as a winger but i do see him as a #2 or maybe a 1B center.

I dont think we have enough depth on the backend to deal Vali or Ras & I dont see Hanifin going anywhere either. But the Jackets D is pretty solid anyways. Monahan would definitely have to go & I would say a lottery protected 1st & probably a good prospect like Ruzicka. I dont see Tre including Dube or Mangi. He may include Bennett but Jackets would have to tweak that with a 2nd. Mony & Benny for Dubois & a 2nd.

On the same page as you. Ruzicka looks to be developing and might not be considered just a throw in by CBJ.

That would be a hard no for me, Lindy is the best player in that deal.

Monahan would definitely be the core piece going back. I don’t think they’re that far apart, Monny’s a proven goal scorer. If I’m calling Columbus I’m asking about Bjorkstrand as well although he’s come out and said he wants to stay in Ohio.

Im just trying to be reasonable on what it may take to get a young 22 year old potential top line centre. Consider this, rumour was that the Flames offered Bennett & Hanifin to Jersey for 40 games of Taylor Hall. So I could see a deal like that to get a kid like Dubois.

You’re probably right but Bennett’s the type of player you win with in the playoffs. I’d rather send Mang or Backlund if thats what it takes.

It’s pretty common knowledge Tre was only making that deal if they could negotiate an extension with Hall’s agent first.

Every time we make the playoffs Bennett is our best player. Yet every season people call for him to be traded.
