saw a rumor that team's may be waiting to see how Tampa Bay handles their cap situation and who they have to get rid of before the moves start flowing
it's crazy they could win the Cup and then be making moves like 12 hours later - jimbro83
If Tampa can move pieces around to get Lafreniere, LA is offering Byfield, Turcotte, and a 2021 #1. Think about. Mmkay. |

I think Buffalo would lose their minds if Lucas Raymond was still there at 8 - jimbro83

I think that's EXACTLY whats going to happen. One team in the bubble was supposedly furious that Kapanen got traded while teams are still in the playoffs ---- I think it was Tampa. They have some difficult roster choices to make very soon... |

Going back to last thread and what makes Jimbo mad...
If Hank says he is willing to accept a trade and we can offload the Cap hit completely, what would it take to complete the trade? i.e. Hank + #22 to Detroit or is that too much?
I am thinking it is similar to the Marleau deal out of Toronto. - climbdenali12

I’ve we believe Kravtsov can come over and step into a middle 6 role, Buch might become expendable. Get someone to take Smith, maybe Smith and a 2nd for a 4th? He played well with Trouba and in the playoffs, only 1 year left on the deal it’s very possible. We might be ok if we could figure out 1 more deal if Hank decides to stay. MTL is deep at center but needs help on the wings, maybe they’d be interested in Buch, 22+ for Domi? Trade Strome and the money we would’ve given him would go to Domi |

Hank:
6 beers in - "tell Detroit to trade for me right (frank)ing now"
8 beers in - "a move to the Senators sounds like an amazing idea"
12 beers and a 26oz of tequila in - "and starting for your Buffalo Sabres.....MEEEEE" - sensarmy_11

I really don't think that's in the cards
imagine the left wings:
Panarin
Ovechkin
Lafreniere
Kreider
and none of them feel comfortable playing right wing - jimbro83
Yeah, Ovie unequivocally hated playing RW, but still, I would sign him in a second! |

Would love that deal, but we don't have a 2nd.

That’s really what it takes to move a contract?
Alright, I’ll be quiet now.
I know Dubai’s did it with Marleau, but I didn’t think that meant it was something many would do. |
