Wonder what Florida would want for his rights, wonder if Weissbach or Rousek would be enough
- Buff36

I'd give them a first and a prospect not named Cozens, Mitts or Borgen

Think it would take that much, wow I am way off then.

It shouldn't, Borgstrom hasn't been very good

Never ever have said he was great, have repeatedly said he has made mistakes and not done enough to flip the script. You just don't like that I don't think it's all his fault and blame Murray for some of the problems of the last 3yrs.
- Buff36

It’s absolutely a lot of gmtm’s fault. I just had high expectations of botts with the Michigan mba and the Pittsburgh pedigree. He’s had his good moments but not enough

For Henrik Borgstrom...? You'd give the Panthers the 2021 1st round pick and Samuelsson for Henrik Borgstrom?

What am I missing?

I'd call them and ask what the price would be re: Aleksi Heponiemi.

What do u like about him?
I remember him from his draft year,
but haven’t heard or seen anything about him since
Just checked his stats
Looks like he had a rough 1st year in the AHL

I thought we would see more too, he has a chance this off-season to flip the script, he has some pieces he can use in a couple trades and a little cap room, so hopefully he can do something, I am not as optimistic as I used to be that he can do it but we shall see. Last chance though, if he doesn't should be shown the door.

Obviously he looks to have killed the Joker trade and the kahuna trade looks to be extremely good. I liked the Miller and Montour trades too - not his fault Miller couldn’t adapt to Ralphs system, is his fault that montour played on the wrong side most of the year cuz he had too many d shooting the same way.

That’s an overpay imo
He hasn’t done anything much over here,
including a subpar AHL season last year
And now he’s fleeing to the KHL

No way I’m giving a 1st for him

He's a high skilled, high speed playmaker and setup man. He would be very dangerous with players like Skinner and Olofsson.

Possibility of no fans at New Era for Bills games ? I'm fine with that. If it were up to me, there'd be no fans at sporting events until after a vaccine is created. Actually, there would be no sporting events at all until after a vaccine. What if we never get a vaccine and there's no more sports ? Oh well. Seeing how being a Buffalo sports fan has crushed my hopes and dreams, I'm OK with that.

Even better. Don't know what happened these last 2 yrs but he was killing it in college before the Cats organisation signed him. If they don't qualify him he becomes a ufa

That's one of the head scratcher's with all the RHD and not moving 1 for forward, but depending on what Montour wants either him or Risto should be used in a package to help fix that 2nd line.

Mitts & Cozens are both playmaker types too though

Can’t hurt to make a call,
but idk that I’d wanna give up a lot for him?

His lack of productivity last year concerns me
Any insight into that?
Poor linemates? Lack of opportunities?

A 22yr old center with good size and top-six/top-nine upside who's good on his skates , has excellent stickwork and a pretty good shot.

That's why I like Granlund, the kid is a great passer and I think he could really help Skinner, plus he probably pots you 20 goals too.

He's years removed from his college days, like mittelstadt.

They're more or less the same in terms of trade value.

in terms of trade value yeah isn't it?

That and the fact that he's no longer in college

Point taken. However, there's a huge discrepancy between the quality of the hockey departments.

We'll see. A 1st might very well be too much but I'll stick to it and take my lumps later if need be

For me it's more that a team in transition like the Sabres is better off moving a 1st rounder for a sure thing than a high risk player.

They don't have too many assets to work with, and contrary to what i've read here, the prospect pool is middle of the road at best, even with Cozens.

They've got the assets for exactly one more big move without subtracting from the NHL team, and that move would likely take the farm down to the bottom 5. Better hope it's for a game changer.

The high risk/high reward play should be reserved for the draft.

I'd definitely make a call see if he can be had cheaper though.
