Eichel and Dahlin are the only ones who should be safe, everyone else should be in consideration for trades if it helps this team get better.

100% agreed, and we all do really.

If we inquired to Tampa about Cirelli and they asked for Olofsson, Samuelsson, and the 2021 1st, you do it even though you'd rather not lose those two players, as Cirelli is good enough to fill a serious need long term.

Olofsson might be a deal breaker. arent they in a tight cap position?
I would think they would want more pipeline potential if thats the case vs. having to negotiate a contract with a goal scorer.

Kahun might be a better example due to salary, but I used Olofsson as far more people would not like letting him go.

I'll go further: If Tampa says the 2021 1st, Jokiharju, and Kahun for Cirelli, do you make the trade?

Yes
Even if it's our 2020 1st pick instead of 2021

I draw the line at the 2020 1st round pick.

Among other reasons, if the league takes the top 12 teams from each conference for the playoffs, the Sabres would be out, and that would mean they'd be one of only 7 teams eligible for the lottery.

Basically, Eichel, Dahlin, this year's pick, and Cozens are off the table.

The only other one that might make that list is Cozens, think he's gonna be a stud.

Imagine a group of Eichel, Cirelli, Cozens down the middle and all 23 or younger.

They would have years of control with Jokiharju, and it would give them a top three D of him, Hedman, and Sergachev.

If you weren't so busy licking the cheese from under TM's ball sack maybe you would see the problem goes back before Botts. Botts just hasn't done enough to flip the script yet.

cant you guys use google?

1)

As if Buffalo Sabres fans haven't had enough to handle this season with the woeful product on the ice, they now have something more to lament about off the ice.

Yesterday, John Vogl of The Buffalo News reported that former Sabres general manager Darcy Regier had discussions with Boston Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli in regard to a Thomas Vanek-Tyler Seguin swap at last year's draft.

While Vogl does go on to say that the reason for the deal not coming to fruition is not clear, this type of news has to leave a bad taste in many Sabres fans' mouths.

. @JeremyWGR upon reading that the Sabres may have had a shot at Tyler Seguin last off-season

I wouldn’t mind a bottle of Chardonnay and an evening with Margot Robbie either.

Maybe I’ll say dream about that after I eat a few edibles tonight

Tampa turns down an offer of Jokiharju, Kahun, and the 2021 1st?

Joker would be a tough sell also unless it’s a Cirelli type coming back.

Just going of off 39's post, everyone can dream. Actually have some Orange and Grape Maple Leafs in the fridge, maybe I will join the edible train tonight.

i told everyone we should trade for Cirelli last year he was Bergeron 2.0

answer :

1) go make chicken wings in the microwave
2) hes a 3rd line player
3) you think everyone is a stud
4) go eat kale

I’ll be honest, I didn’t back read and I’m pretty out of touch with the general convo.

That seems like a fair offer. I think Tampa would try to move Johnson, Palat, Killorn first though.
