That's not true at all you might be thinking about someone other

The reason the flame fans are ok with trading him is because he wants to go home to Philadelphia

Nope eichel and gaudreau are friends. Saw those two with gronk on Nantucket together a few summers ago.

Only 2 years left on the contract and his slow start this year would dissuade me

So that's what, one a night or every other night?
- adambuffalo

It has decreased from 2015 26%- 15% 2019 soon it will be zero in 2 years

Are u saying that getting 4th liners are gonna help the overall team toughness?

Tough to do that playing 10min a night
If those guys aren’t in the top9, then i don’t see them having much effect

- jdfitz77

No, I said I preferred a guy like Dillon, but having a guy, any guy, that can stand up for your teammates is neccessary. How many questionable hits are you willing to accept without any accountability?

They're not best friends you might be thinking about gus who is close with him
Jack is best friends with Brady and the hayes brothers

And the problem is he will sign with the flyers not us .. which sucks he be a super star here

It will never be zero, and will probably go back up a bit.

Well that’s a big name to leave out
You were making it sound like the Hawks said no to trading Strome,
when it really sounds like they said no to trading Kubalik (who was killing it)

- jdfitz77

Yes he has been the last year or so. I posted this stuff back around the deadline when my buddy told me about it. Sabres want Strome, just went after to much at that time, especially with Chicago in the hunt at that time.

They played together a few times, but don't think they really played well together. Jack and Johnny that is.

That happens all the time regardless

I’m not bringing in a 2nd pair defenseman so he can sit in the box for 5min every time there’s a questionable hit

Seems like the Strome part could be revisited at some point

He had 4 fights this year. I would take that for a little assurance. Teams know that we don't have anyone to step up if needed.

I would love Johnny hockey but he is going to sign with the flyers

I would give up Sam + if he signed 7 years that day

And if all they gotta do to get a good defensive defenseman off the ice is have a 4th liner take a run at 1 of our players,
then they win that battle easily

And if i were the other team,
I’d be inclined to do it more

Having a good player be a supposed deterrent is a terrible idea

You're talking out both sides of your mouth now. Would you rather have a good player that can also fight or a 4th liner that can fight to take out the other teams 'good player'? The Bruins had 20 fights this year. Fight leaders were Chara, Carlo, McAvoy and Marchand. Which guy do you prefer fight, Chara or Marchand?

Buffalo had 3 this year. TB had 17.

Numbers from hockeyfights.com, so they could be off.

If, in fact, Michael Jordan was super secretly suspended for gambling, it's the most tight-lipped conspiracy in human history. Both the Kennedy Assasination and 9/11 have more holes in their story, and those aren't even that plausible.

What I'm saying is that both 9/11 and the Kennedy Assassination have better chances of being conspiracy theories than the notion that Jordan's retirement was actually a suspension. I don't believe any of the three were.

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. Think the NBA allows a guy with a gambling problem to buy a team? There was a time after his dad was murdered that I had second guessed it, but the guys worth 100's of millions and I can't imagine a debt he couldn't pay. No reason to think he was forced out unless you're a hater.

That and David Stern actively sticking a knife into the balloon of the franchise values that Jordan created makes absolutely zero sense.

You’re misinterpreting what i said
I don’t think it’s necessary to have “fighters”
Could we use more physicality for the playoffs especially?
Sure

But like i said, fights in the playoffs are rare

I don’t think fighting deters hits the way u do
And i don’t want my good players fighting & then sitting in the penalty box for 5min either
Not on the regular
Here & there? Ok, that’s fine

How many fights did Dillon have last year?
U really think signing him deters anything?
I don’t
