Just a thought, sounds like there having trouble getting him to come here.
- Buff36

He’s worth calling about
I just can’t imagine they’d dump him cheap

I was under the impression he was gonna come over to the NHL for next season
Could be wrong there though

Wonder if the Wild would be interested in swapping 1st and giving us the rights to Kaprisov

Yeah didn't see that on the page I was reading, just read a article saying he wants to play right of the bat, but the Wild don't want to burn a year of his Entry-level when he signs if they don't make the playoffs.

I think I'll enjoy the NL and AL East in the same division for one unique season. While I am Yankee fan, it's hard to dispute the Mets have the best television broadcast is baseball. With the Bombers and the Muts in the same division, I can listen to Ron, Keith and Gary instead of bighead Kay. Though I do like Cone and Singleton in the Yankee booth when they're there.

I wish I could get John and Susan's call. MLB has the stupidest blackout rules. Buffalo is a blackout zone for the Yankees, Mets, Indians, and Pirates if you purchase MLB audio for the season.

The team who 'gave up on the small non-physical' guy took back (frank)ing Sheary and Erod in return. Talk about 2 physical forces, geez.

Ok 39, dress a bunch of Ballerina's. You're right as always.

Wonder why we havent made the playoffs in 9 years?

So when that letter from Bettman to the clubs proposing for an early June Draft was leaked, it was speculated that the timing would be for an approval by the weeks end, last week.

I am guessing that there must have been a fair amount of pushback such that no decision has been made, with alternatives now receiving more consideration.
Big week upcoming if June remains an option, given that the NHL says it needs a month. Still possible for sure, but the clock seems to be clicking.

This is why people mock you, Boss.

Dominik Kahun: 5'11" 175lbs "BALLERINA"

Jason Pominville: 5'11" 180lbs (played for the Sabres for most of the last 9 years). "LIVING LEGEND"

It's just nonsense. And you do it all the time.

The bottom line is a good hockey player is a good hockey player.

Clocks, which uniformly "tick," declare me the winner of the $5.

Sheary 27 YO, $3.0m, 141 GP 24/33/57. 0.40 ppg
Erod 26 YO, $2.0m, 119 GP 15/24/39 0.32 ppg
Kahun 24 YO, ~$2.8m*, 138 GP 25/43/68 0.49 ppg

* projected contract

It was a very good trade especially for a UFA and a RFA, but also Productivity, Age, expected Contract value.

I too want more players with some physicality, I do. Yet, I can't complain about this specific trade in that it seems like house money.

All the GM's decried the June, before the end of the season draft, some publicly, for at least a week.

That's the cause of the delay, and part of the reason for the updated playoff format idea (24 total teams, 12 from each conference).

You do this all the time.

Pommer was a small, but excellent goal scorer.

Kahun is another small 14 goal scorer. We have enough small players and small non goal scorers. We need size and grit. Or small guys that score goals.

In my opinion, kahun is the next love around here.

Top 6 = bottom 5 in the league

Have we discussed the mismanagement of This team? This case specifically:

- botts trades scandella to Montreal for a 4th. At the time, the Sabres were 9-1 with him in the lineup and under .500 with him out.
-instead of signing pommenville for vet minimum he trades the newly acquired 4th rounder for Frolic, who proves to be useless (1 goal which is an empty netter). Frolics cap hit is a prorated 4.5m
-scandella is traded to stl from Montreal for a 2nd and a conditional 4th
- finally, frolics extra salary puts us over the cap causing a cap penalty for next year of 1.5m. So our 24th place team actually has 1.5m less to spend next year
-I want to not dislike the job Botts has done, and who know whos fault the oreilly trade is, but carp like this is inexcusable. Of course , with the pegulas pleading poverty, he’s not being fired

Good, reasonable post.

We probably won the trade, but I just do not see him as a top 6 forward on a good nhl team.

The stats should also reflect the teams the players played on.

At what point do we add some toughness?

I guess it's a matter of opinion on "talent"

I do not see kahun as anyone special.
What am I missing flacco?

Girgs was on pace for more goals on the 4th line with okposo and angry larry. On the 7th worst team in the league.

Top 6 really?

Everyone is taking their lips off vesey and attaching them to kahun. Vesey has size, plays defense and pk.

You’re right, Kahun is not a game changing forward.

However, he should be a top 9 forward that earns his contract or even out plays his up coming contract value.

He is versatile depth that we got for expiring contracts.

Many posters have been writing him in on the second line.
Ok so top 9 not 6

Versatile depth?
Does he play short handed or in defensive situations? No
Can he slide into the 4th checking line? No
Pp time? Over jack, dahlin, olo, sam ? Maybe 2pp

Super fast? No
aggressive ? No
Immediate fan favorite? Apparently

The Sabres need to shoot higher, than except this guy as top 6 with johannsson and skinner

Another average guy? Basically.

So what you're really saying is that the "Ballerina" thing is irrelevant and you think Pomminville is a good hockey player but Kahun is not?

Sounds exactly like what I was acting you to clarify.

With a legit 2C I can picture a line of

Skinner -______-Kahun

I can also see Kahun on the third line as well like we did when he played with Olofsson and Mojo and had 2+2 for 4 points in 6 games.

He generates offence, so what if he is more of a play maker ? Maybe he’s the guy that can get the puck to an Olofsson, Skinner, Eichel, or Cozens

We all want a quality second line so we can have a 3rd line of Olofsson - Johansson - Kahun and watch it be very effective.

How well does Vesey play the penalty kill when the penalty kill was horrible the entire year.

Also, he was decent defensively this year compared to his prior seasons where he flat out sucked at defense.

On his size, I'm surprised you like considering how infrequently he actually uses his size to be physical.
