Not happy with the short week to prepare for KC. - adambuffalo
Especially following two weeks on the road. That’s a tough stretch. |

short week for them and they have to come here

I like it. I’m tired of seeing the same teams playing in prime time all the time.
Happy for you guys, I thought you might get 4. |

Possibility of 4 straight weeks in prime time.
That 19th or 20th against the Broncos if Saturday will be a 4 o’clock game.
Lots of expectations for Buffalo this year nationally.

The NFL really rolled out the red carpet for the Bills. Gotta prove they can run with the big dogs now. |

I know. I was so far out in front on the NFL Relevancy take. It really feels great. |

Typical, Bill's have a great opportunity to win the division and have a home playoff game.

Adam - I lost track of your post extending jbotts. I wasnt sure why the Sabres would extend him? Would you be worried about another team poaching botts after this season?
I'm not seeing that from my view |

2nd game of the night? It is the trashiest game on the MNF schedule. Usually reserved for the Raiders. Congratulations. - Hatboro_Swords
I was very surprised, maybe they're worried about the stadium not being finished? But they have week 2 at home vs the Saints, who knows. |

So a team who made the playoffs last year, and is favoured to win the division this year wouldn’t be considered relevant ?
Such a bold take.
Remember when the Broncos wouldn’t get any prime time games ? 3 must be the new 0 |

Sorry, saw that was the last post in the last blog and moved to the new one.
Am I worried about him getting poached? No. However, when he was hired I believe he had a plan and that it would take 3 years to come to fruition. Many here have complained about TPegs forcing Murray to make trades to get to the playoffs, when I believe 100% the opposite. I would almost guarantee that Murray got hired because he convinced the Pegs that he could make the team a playoff contender immediately. This is why I feel Botts came in and said 'Hey there's no quick fix for this and it will take time to build a contender '.
Besides Skinner's new deal, has Botts handcuffed the team in any way? We've got prospects with a lot of potential, and not one person with hockey knowledge thinks we missed on any of our picks.
He didn't address the 2C like most have wanted, but he also hasn't made any horrendous trades to try to get one. How would anyone feel if he came right out and said 'We are not going to make the playoffs for the next 3 years' knowing that the team needed to build from the bottom up when he got here?
I can understand people not seeing the big picture after having been through so many bad seasons, bad coaches and bad GMing, but at some time you have to trust the guys in charge. They didn't get hired because they were incompetent. They got hired because they were highly sought after.

I will agree with this. Other than Skinner, who can be redeemed if he solves the 2C problem after 2.5 years when this godforsaken season resumes, he has not hamstrung the team otherwise.
My qualm is this: He has wasted picks on numerous players who amounted to nothing - we all know the names - Beaulieu, Scandella, Vesey, Frolik, Simmonds, Miller, even Montour at the moment due to the poopty roster construction.
We have the 6th worst team in hockey with a possible $3.3m overage and no 3rd round picks for the next two years.
Can he fix it? We'll see. I highly doubt it but he's going to be here for the offseason, so...
