It’s a shame that you can’t cite promising/“good news” data these days without people claiming it must be inaccurate/falsified.

At the same time those same people probably wouldn’t dare question whatever scary/“bad news” data they come across.

Have Black Keys tickets at DTE in July. Doubt it's happening, but we'll see.

Also, still no to the goalie at 9 or better. Hope Duff's right and he doesn't last til the Hawks pick.

Isn’t Askarov a little too tall to be a Hawk first rounder?

If we acquire a second #1 2020 mid or late round, then I might pick Askarov there. I might. Your thoughts taking him later in round one?

I take Askarov at 3 ,but that just Me .Could see him going around 6 maybe NJ . Although his poor WJC showing just might be a blessing in disguise, and drop him to 8 or 9th .And Bam we got ourselves a Askarov original .

Plus cold weather season = less outside time.

Sunshine and fresh air are nature’s disinfectant. Much more bountiful in that regard on the Left Coast.

Glad we have some glory to re-watch. Good thing this didn't happen in 2007, what would we watch? What are they replaying in Nashville?

What will the NHL look like when it returns? Will the stadiums be allowed to be filled at capacity? If not how will they make up that revenue? I think that the NHL is in for a long period of pain, considering it is a gate receipt driven league.

You mean his choke job?

Like We’ve never seen a guy play well when there’s no pressure before, and then choke under the bright lights

I feel safest on the plane, haven't been able to get on one for 6 weeks now, driving me nuts.

As will several other goalies out there in the goalie ether.

Chances are high that 8 years from now, he won’t even be considered the best goalie of his draft.

Not very likely .Russia has been producing quality goalies of late ,something like Finland did awhile back .Time to grab the best of the bunch . Don't fear the Goalkeeper

Is China a member?.Trump denounced them. Not much hockey over there. Adds to the notion what a dreadful place. Communist rule. I bet the people do not like the government. Remember Tianeman Square. The Billy Joel song We Didn't Start The Fire?

The commemorating the fall of communiism took hold 31 years ago. It could be an English class homework assignment to identify and correlate the events or social agenda of each historical reference in the song. NOW this Corona Virus 19 would fit as an end point for historical text.

From a World War to a Cold War 117 different mention in that song Now add one if there could be a remake of the song. I googled a bit and found 3.5 million hits on a pro demoicracy song from 2009 by young people in throngs packed in streets and everywhere

. Chinna has lied about the intent and.serioisness which has led to a pandemic. The numbers are worse in China than they report. It is really small potatoes loosing hickey for a while compared to the lives lost and the interuption of lives, the economic pitfalls worldwide .

You started another fire, China. The world will never be the same. Hockey will never be the same too. All sports players should be tested.

Someone coughs at a game later this year or five years from now, do you move from your seat. If you have a cough or cold a few days later then you might have some anxiety.

Because even if an innoculation basicly wipes out this virus, what is next coming out of China or anywhere. Biblicly speaking each four year increments or just know that in the future more of these viruses is a real threat

Interesting thoughts ... thought provoking even. Pseudo-political in context so I'm hesitant to break my own self-imposed rule on social distancing from political commentary in my favorite hockey blog ( ), but I will say I can't disagree with any of it.

He also didn't play well to close out the season according to some reports I saw.

I guess you don't recall how poor the Hawks are at drafting Russians. He is the best goalie prospect since Spencer Knight. Who was compared to Price last season.

He is a 17 year old kid playing in a men's league .All kids will have up and downs ,more so as a goalie . If Stan and his team decide he not the BPA that fine with me ,they research this stuff far more then I do . What I have seen and heard this kids the real deal and deserves to be a top 10 pick without doubt .

Not by the Hawks. Kelley and Bowman won't take a goalie who may or may not want to come over with a top 10 pick.

He played 1 game in the KHL.

Curious to see how well Sorokin does. He has a coach whom a goaltender should love. Team defense role players although there is room for Leddy too. As Boychuk recovers and ages I look at a former #1 big guy with big shot on pp R Pulock to emerge. But when guys like Mayfield and Toews - lesser lites so to speak - emerge too and contribute in Trotz system, a goaltender has some support.
