I think there was a stretch after the Canes/Ducks/Wings won the cup where teams started thinking the key was to be fast and good defensively.

I look at what the Canadian governments (plural) are doing, and comparing it to the horrific poopshow in the US - Oh boy, glad I'm north of the border right now.

Governments up here seem to be stepping up to meet the moment instead of pretending it's not happening at all, which is nice.

Weird thing is I never really knew her or at least don’t remember her. Her grandfather was my mom’s brother and they had adjacent farms when they grew up. My dad got into politics and I moved to Ottawa when I was young. We would go back but her parents had split up and we may have crossed paths in summers as kids but I don’t really remember.

The other odd coincidence. She ran against my ex-girlfriend when she was first elected.
